These products are water-based and are meant to be used when the clothing is damp, "not dry like some people are telling others to do"

Can these be used in an HE washer?

Yes all Nikwax Wash-In products can be used in HE washing machines. As HE washers use significantly less water, Nikwax suggests using 2/3 of the suggested amount of the cleaning "Wash" products and the normal amount of proofing products.

What is the difference between the Nikwax Hardshell and Softshell packs? Thanks!

Hardshell are textiles, meaning outerwear with fabric that doest stretch much. Softshell is the opposite, clothing that conforms and has stretchy fabric.
