Absolutely love this for tough jobs!
So you may think you don't need the long nozzle but when you're doing soda work there will be the occasions that you need it because there may be other components nearby that you don't want to take off. One thing of course that's recommended with these is don't apply too much pressure and don't do a lot of wiggling you might crack the tip. Again these tips don't last forever but if you keep them clean they'll work for a very long time. Plus the price I got it at was very reasonable. I'm giving it five stars. One of those things where you're looking at buying a few of these definitely get yourself a long nozzle one you'll think yourself later

The soldering tip works just as advertised. It got here quickly and it is an original Hakko.

Genuine Hakko brand
The Hakko storefront on Amazon is an a convenient way to buy Hakko parts as needed. They're not cheap, but I've never been disappointed by them. As for the nozzles, I buy them for my FR-301 as needed from here. This time I needed a smaller outer diameter nozzle for a board with smaller solder pads to replace some ICs. With the gun temp set correctly, I was able remove the chip without lifting or damaging any solder pads. That's why they have a variety of similar nozzles. For hobbyist use they can be expensive, but the Hakko desoldering products have been a good investment to keep that part of it easier.

Great addition to my tool
BE AWARE THIS COMES WITH SOLDER OVER THE HOLE! it’s not a problem at all, but I spent way more time worried I had a defective item than I should have. Even the pictures seem to show no hole so I took a chance that it was somehow OK. It is fine. The solder comes off as soon as you heat it up and hit the vacuum.This size was needed to remove solder from a fly back on an arcade monitor. Fits great over those thicker legs.

Works as described, bit pricey for what it is
This tip works well to remove larger components off of circuit boards and is as its described. My only complaint is that this is quite expensive for what it is.
