CUISINARTMulticlad Pro Triple Ply Stainless 3-Qt. Saucepan

This is a solid, heavy, saucepan that is ideal for induction cooktops. Its finish is very bright and shiny and I've subjected it to different kinds of foods including a test run of heavily salted water to see if the finish would degrade or rust in any way. It has not.Heat is very well controlled with this pan. Also, the lid I got with it is perfect. It's solid and heavy, and fits perfectly on top of this saucepan. (I got both the 2-qt and 3-qt pans and the same lid works perfectly. They are the same dimensions except the 3-qt is taller). I am not into the glass lids since I don't think they work as well.I saw reviews that said this pan rusts. For the two I got, (2-qt and 3-qt) this is not at all the case. It might be that somehow Cuisinart allowed some inferior metal into the factory. I think it's more likely that the reviews were misplaced were actually for another product and were mistakenly put here, or they might have been fake reviews.I think this is a really great product. I gave 4 stars for durability only because I haven't had it very long, and so I can't say how durable it will be for a decade. I think I will give it 5 stars soon. I have tried to ruin it and it still shines and performs extremely well.

This is the third one I bought, don't take it wrong,it hasn't broken or something, on the contrary, it's the best pot I've ever used: after I received my first one, I found it is really neat, so I bought a second one as a friend's housewarming gift, then, my mom came from oversea to visit us, she showed the madness loving with this pot, here comes the third one.Cooking is my major hobby, I own plenty of high end cookwares, like a 3 quart Le creuset doufeu, 4 quart Staub cocotte, All-clad frying pan, but this 3 quart stainless steel pot is the most frequent one I use.Evenly distributing the heat, you can use it to make roux; reasonable weight, makes it easily to lift with one hand(there is no way to achieve that with cast iron pot); you don't need mittens to grab the handle; the rim makes pouring neat, nothing would drip along the side,even if you cook creamy soup with it, you don't need to wipe a single drop on your stove top.And the craftsmanship is compatible with All-clad, the handle feels more comfortable to hold on than All-clad.I use it to cook pasta for family of 3, soup, or just poach egg, boil some milk for hot chocolate, deep fry small amount of food, any recipe related to wet cook could be accomplished by this pot.The manufacturer improved the shape of the handle, which is fatter than the old version.It feels better than the old one.If I have to think up a con of this pot, maybe the price: my first pot was purchased at 2009 on sale for about $30, and the last one cost me $57 at 2014, I can blame on inflation.

Love how these are built and how well they work. I don't expect to ever have to replace these pots again. I love that I am no longer eating teflon (that stuff on your teflon pans went somewhere when it came up missing) nor am I eating from aluminum pots which have been tied to alzheimers? Did I mention I love my cast iron pans as well?
