Great for macaroni and cheese when you have company
This is an attractive baking dish that works well when you need extra portions for company. I soak it before I use it - just fill it with water and leave it for a few minutes. The things I cook in it - mac&cheese, casseroles, a pumpkin side dish, etc. - are delicious and moist. The dish is not sturdy so don't drop it.

The cazuela is beautiful and is great for both stovetop and oven use. Seasoning it is easy and once done, it's been a great cooking tool that looks fantastic on the table so it's perfect to bring in right from the kitchen.

Wonderful dish! Just like my grandmother once had. I never thought I'd see such a dish again. And it's great for baking chicken and vegetables.

Traditional Spanish/Latin cazuela
This cazuela is a very good deal for the price. It is used in many different Spanish, Mexican and European cooking traditions. I used It mostly on the stove to make Paella, though it does not easily make the crunchy bottom, it is still fantastic. You have to baby it though. I used it in the oven to make a cassoulet (which was fantastic) and now there are cracks on the bottom. So far, it has not leaked and the cracks haven't gotten worse. I think I should have broken it in on the stove for a few months before using the oven. This is what I mean by having to 'baby it".
