I've been collecting razors and this one looked pretty cool so I took a flyer on it. Pleasantly surprised. First, it's very solid and heavy, feels like 3.5 oz. maybe more (I didn't actually weigh it). The color is a deep dark rich bronze, a nice change of pace from the chrome range. The cap completely covers the ends of the razor blade, preventing the inadvertent nicks of the ear. As to the important part, that is, the shaving, I would suggest it's a pretty aggressive razor, with more than average blade exposure measured two ways: (1) the portion of the blade which extends beyond the razor cap and (2) the gap between the razor blade and the safety bar. Both are significantly greater than say the Merkur 23c which is an excellent, but very mild razor, which I also own. Overall this is a great razor and a super value. Would highly recommend it for the experienced wet shaver or the patient beginner.
