Pricey but understandable quality. I use these for dip flex calligraphy. Just on occasion for writing cards or when friends need things for weddings etc. This has the right consistency for doing flex nib dip calligraphy. Just make sure you shake well before use and that you seal it well after. Wash the nibs then to prevent damage to your nibs.

Initially I bought this for a geometric construct I was working on. I had hoped it would work in a technical pen but the sparkle is just too big to flow. So I used a small brush and this goes on so beautifully and dries to a 'rainbow' of subtle shimmer, depending on how the light hits it. It does not dry jet black, it's more of a deep steel grey but is is GORGEOUS! I ned to get more of these colours. Silver is on the way but I want them all now

Picture is a little deceiving, ink actually translates to a charcoal grey with alot of silver in it rather than a deep dark black. It is a very pretty color & was purchased to add my collection of other calligraphy colors. I use this product to add designs to art projects using diffferent nib sizes. Check out both the gold & the copper colors which are very opaque & vibrant in color. Product needs to be well shaken consistently to mix the color & get a smooth application. Recommended for anyone that likes to play with ink. Dr Ph Martin also makes watercolor & ink concentrates that are very good products.

I bought it because I do a lot of calligraphy. Shipping was very fast. Ink is very pretty with a shimmering. In light it seems light gray until middle black. Its really nice. The ink itselves is very opaque and smooth. A little bit thick, but with a few drops of water it's fine for automatic nibs. You have to clean your nibs immediately after use. Otherwise you will be endless clean your nibs, without results. Would buy it again and again and again ;)
