Swisher 20110 Commercial Pro UTV-Truck Spreader, 50", Opaque

Sturdy build, quality parts, at a great price! I didn't want some flimsy piece of junk. Which is exactly what you will find with anything cheaper than this.Easy, thirty minute assembly time. The directions aren't quite up to par with IKEA, but each step offers an exploaded view that clearly illustrates how each piece (part, bolt, washer, nut, zip tie, etc.) connects to another. The fasteners are all packaged in groups that align with the steps. It's not that difficult to deduct from the image which package belongs to which step.This spreader does not have an auger built in. It is not advertised to have one. As a result, any moisture contamination can lead to clumping, bridging, and other issues that could restrict the flow of product from the hopper.NOTE: The best way to fight clumping is to add an auger or buy a spreader with an auger. An affordable auger-like solution, use your drill with a paint mixer to break up the clumps.Bottom line: If you want a fancy plug-and-play solution, go pay $800+ for it. This product is not for you. On the other hand, if you want a quality spreader at a reasonable price and you are capable of assembling less than 10 pieces with applicable washers, bolts, nuts, etc; then this one is for you!It isn't nice to bag on a good company just because you are too cheap to pay for a product with the features you really want.

Advertise to work on a utv it did not had to use a ratchet strap to make stay on, had to make my own wiring to hook up (the wire was to short and did not reach the plug in), very poor representation of product

The spreader instructions were terrible and the wiring was set up for an ATV. I had to extend the power cord 10 feet to fit my truck. Also, I didn't realize it was manual operation to open the spreader to apply salt or sand. This creates a pile of salt as you run back to the drivers seat and start moving. The product in the spreader gets hung up. There is nothing pulling the product down to bottom of the spreader to the spinning disc to distribute it to the driveway.

Very good product

This is a well built piece of equipment. The unit requires complete assembly but it's no big deal with a lil common sense. I gave it only 4 stars because it does not include an on/off switch of any kind. The wiring comes with a cigarette lighter plug wired in which I guess the operator is to plug it to activate and unplug to deactivate. This works I reckon but for the cost of this unit I would have liked to seen a handheld control switch (which i will install myself).

Swisher has a home run with this seeder.Assembles easily and is capable of applying tons of seed per day with ease.Highly recommend.

Perfect for scope of work

Paid a lot for a piece of junk! I thought I was buying a great product to use on 3.3 acres. Won't spread 50cm much less 50 ft. Practically dumps it straight to the ground...may get a 1 foot spread to either side when not clumped. Built beefy...all show and no go!! No auger so product gets clumped and wont disperse. No shut off from drivers seat so you get a pile of fertilizer accumulating on the ground when not moving. Do not buy...you will regret!
