LiquitexBASICS Acrylic Paint Technique Set - Wet on Wet

I love the brand, but I'm VERY irritated with the packaging. All the bottles were glued to the plastic packaging by the lids and you cant get it off the plastic without opening the bottles and getting what little paint is coming in the package.. as well as the blending goo bursted all over the bottles so it's only half full and all of my bottles are sticky.. I'm very frustrated with the mess that is all over my hands and desk. I recommend buying the bottles by themselves and not in a 'set'. Like I said, great brand, but this particular set is garbage.

This package arrived wrapped in cellophane so I didn't know until I opened it that everything was covered in the pouring medium (glue) that came with the paint. What a mess it was. Also, there was blue paint that leaked. I DO NOT recommend this product. The paint itself was so thick that it does not work well for rock painting. When doing mandala art, every dot has a peak on it. Low quality. I've included pictures of the the mess that I unwrapped.

I would have given this product 5 stars, except the booklet, is practically useless and the paint retarder had eaten the glue on its seal and leaked out. The leakage was not enough of a concern to attempt a return and minimal product was lost. However, when transporting it, more leakage occurred so I will be moving it from the plastic container it came in to a glass jar. The paint was exactly what i have come to expect from Liquitex. If you want browns, buy some. It is very difficult to mix a brown with these primaries and not get black/grey. However, they make some amazing blacks, so I wish it had come with brown instead of black.

This stuff had leaked all over the box but it wasn't wet anymore. It was like the cardboard was glued to the plastic that the paint was in. I would have returned it but there was no packaging I could have even returned it in when I was done with trying to get the paint out. This probably would have been an eve five-star had the product not been all over the place and/or if it could have been exchanged with less hassle.

I have tried many different acrylic paints in the past for various crafts. I have often been left bothered how quickly they dry out. I have no idea at this time how long these will last. One thing I am very impressed with was how well they flow. It was really easy to paint my project without the paints drying too quickly. I found them to be a joy to work with!
