I've worn this brand of socks for over 20 years, as a runner until 6 years ago and now in Cardio Sculpt (aerobics) and Spin classes. They cushion my heels unlike any other socks and don't wear out! Thinking that my current batch of 10+ year old Thorlos will eventually develop holes, I tried another brand. After all new = improved, right? No. The SmartWool PhD roll top socks (the type of PhD socks with the more cushioned heels) were highly recommended by my spin class, as "the best!" They are nice socks, but not nearly as cushioned as Thorlos. Testing other brands gave me the same result. Thorlos make my feet happy. That said, sometime in the last 10 years, Thorlo has quit making a Small size in the women's rolltop socks, so I ordered a Medium with some concern. Thankfully, when they arrived, they seemed to fit okay and didn't cause a crease of excess material that would have caused a blister. The Medium starts at 6.5 foot size about a half-size larger than my foot.

These are my favorite socks. I have worn them for years. They are thick and comfy and wear very well. I usually wear mine for a couple of years before needing to replace. I wear them around the house all the time too. I am apparently hard on my socks on the ball of my foot, so that is where mine start to thin out. These appear to be the same socks I have bought in the past. They doesn't feel like they have cheapened them like so many companies are doing to their products. I do think they have gone up in price some since I last bought them a couple of years ago-of course that is not surprising. I hate to spend this much for 6 pairs of socks, but they are cheaper this way than buying by the pair. They are a splurge for me, but know I'm set now for a couple more years! I received 6 pair as shown and received the blue and white socks, as shown. Very happy with this purchase.
