Crystallized Candied Ginger Chunks -Unsulfured, 5 pound

We found this brand of ginger when our regular brand wasn't available. We like it so well that it's the only brand we buy. It is spicy as ginger should be with just the right amount of sugar to cut the spice. Some pieces are mildly stringy, but that's a property that is inherent in normal ginger and so can sometimes happen. We will continue to be regular buyers of this brand.

We have ordered the 5 lb bag twice, and it takes my wife and I about 2 months to eat. We absolutely love this ginger. I had given up on crystallized ginger because everywhere we would buy at the store was too mild or really wet and tasted more lemon like than ginger. The quality has been great from both bags and we just ordered another. The spice level is excellent and the tenderness is great. No complaints

Large amount, unsulphured, good flavor great size chunk. A few have been a bit too tough, but that's not uncommon in ginger like this. Only thing it could do better is be organic.

This is, by far, the best ginger I have ever had. Nice large pieces, soft and chewy, and just a little sugar. I highly recommend this company.

I do not understand the positive reviews. High quality ginger is light yellow and almost translucent, with a slight tang to the taste. This ginger is very dark and fibrous: sure signs that it comes from very old stems and is poor quality. AND it is so strongly flavored (read HOT) that it is virtually impossible to consume. I sent it back. I have bought a great deal of ginger - including 15 lbs from Amazon- but this version is unacceptable.

Second purchase - Very good value -best I have found anywhere. I especially like that it is un-sulfured. I add approx. 3-4 pieces to a 16-ounce jar of homemade kombucha for the second ferment-the sugar assists with the natural carbonation process and of course the ginger aids in digestion. I also like that the pieces are mostly uniform in shape and size, unlike others I've seen in the marketplace. I highly recommend.

There's some pieces that are very good and some pieces that are dry and tough. The ones that are good are pretty damn good, but the other 50% of the bag are just hard and dry. If you feel like trying these out, buy a smaller bag and learn from my mistake
