CFexpress Type A and SDXC/SDHC UHS-II Card Reader with Two Slots | USB 3.2 Gen 2 | by ProGrade Digital (PG09)

Fantastic reader, getting rock solid 240 MB/s with Sandisk extreme pro UHS-II V90 SD card. Magnetic base is strong enough that the reader didn't slide around when you insert it remove the SD card, haven't tried the CF express type A but overall excellent reader. Price is worth the cost. Good build quality, not metal but feels solid.

The magnet. This seems like an odd hook, but for me it immediately clicked. I am a full time photographer living and creating from my van with a minimal workstation. Card readers sliding off my lap board has been a regular occurrence over the past three years. It works amazing. I didn't expect anything difference on performance from any other card reader I have used. This card reader is fast. Between the magnet and speed this is my card reader going forward.

It’s been solid, no problems reading my cards, and it is quick!! Better than the built in reader on Mac, and the fact I can have my CFexpress and my SD card plugged in at the same time. Time saver. Highly recommend this, even for the price.

I have been using Prograde cards for quite a few years now for photography and have had zero issues. I recently switched to using CFexpress type A and needed a reader, so did not hesitate with the ProGrade option. This is not an inexpensive card reader, but it is absolutely a professional piece of equipment. Having both CFexpress and SD slots is perfect for me because those are the two forms of memory that I shoot with. Overall build quality is excellent with a great sturdy feel and the built in magnet is awesome. You can attach it to your computer but I actually just magnetically attach it underneath my metal laptop stand to keep it safely out of the way. Import speeds have also been great so far using a MacBook Pro.

Value: I thought this was expensive but it was one of the only Type A and SDXC readers I could find - most are Type B. EXTREMELY FAST. My other reader gets hot, but this one gets really hot. I am going to find a piece of metal for the magnet and use it as a heat sync. Easy to Use: Each media type was automatically assigned a drive letter by Windows 11. Each type can only fit in one of the slots - but I don't think I give the reader credit for that feature. Would I buy again? Did I mention it was fast? Yes. Minus one star for heat and price.

This works well with UHS II SDHc/SDXC memory cards which have large files especially RAW and TIFF files.

Based on testing on several properly equipped computers, using a Sony 80GB CFe-A card, this reader reads at 905MB/s and writes 700MB/s. The write speed is exactly the card's advertised speed, but the read speed is actually 100MB/s *faster* than the advertised read speed of Sony's CFe-A cards... so that's interesting. This reader also tests somewhat faster that Sony's own CFe-A reader, the MRW-G2, which tops out around 820MB/s and 675 MB/s respectively, using the same card. Be aware, again, that you need to use and appropriate cable and have an appropriate speed USB port... etc. Now about that magnet another reviewer mentioned. No, the fairly strong magnet in the reader cannot erase your cards. SD / CFe cards are not magnetic storage. Period, full stop, magnets of this kind cannot erase a card. A magnet of this kind cannot even erase a hard drive. That's just not how physics works. The magnet in this reader is to allow the reader to magnetically attach to your laptop. It's a good idea, however, many laptops just don't have enough magnetic material in them to attach to anymore, so your mileage may vary with that.

It is fast and well made but that is not why I bought this one, I bought it for its magnet, you don't know how useful that based magnet is untill you start using it!

Kutusu ve kendisi de harika beklentilerimin üstünde çıktı. Bizim işimiz video prodüksiyon işi olduu için ana akım markalara bazen fazladan para vermek zorunda kalıyoruz. Ama bu ürün onların tekelini bence kırıyor. Hiç O kartların üreticisi olan markaya daha fazla para vermenize gerek yok. Ayant un APN Sony pouvant accueillir des CFexpress type A, j'ai acquis ce lecteur afin de ne pas avoir à brancher mon APN pour transférer les médias. Belle finition et petit point pratique : le dessous est aimanté. Ça me permet de la coller à ma tour et de ne pas avoir peur qu'il bascule. Transfert super rapide. Rien à dire.
