This round base magnet, or cup magnet, is made of grade 8 ceramic magnet encased and embedded inside of a steel cup. The steel cup is chrome plated for rust proof. The magnet and the steel cup form a magnetic circuit so the holding force is quadruped to 100 LBS with direct touch to a 3/4" thick low carbon steel plate. The steel cup also provides protection to the magnet so it becomes much more durable, allowing for use in more demanding applications. The outer diameter of the magnet is 3.2" (80 mm) with 0.27" (6.5 mm) center hole (for a #8 bolt). The total thickness is 0.39" (10 mm). This magnet can be used as magnetic holding, lifting, antenna mounting, positioning, retrieving and much more. Round base magnets are also known as cup magnets. These are really strong magnets. I put handles on these to hold load flags on trailers! Would recommend this product!

Not good for magnets fishing but other then that it is good

Strong magnets but too thin for the factory mounting bolts on any led light bar or worklight. The magnets are only about a half inch thick so the bolts all stick out the back.

We bought these to hold our calendar to our fridge. I caught my finger under one as I was changing months and ended up with quite a bruise. These ARE strong. Which is what we wanted. Just be mindful when you are using them. I wouldn't let children use them.

I use these to hold down my car cover that keeps blowing off in the wind. 100 lb hold does the trick. Good product, excellent service.
