Works perfect. I have mine connected to the masterlink (SRAM Powerlink). No problems. What is there else to say? It works.

A very simple device. Allows one to change the length of a bicycle chain by 1 link, and does that just fine. Now my single speed has the proper chain tension. KMC is a quality brand, so I don't expect this item to be any different. My only objection, and the reason I knocked off one star, is it's kinda expensive for what it is. You can buy an entire KMC chain for not much more than the price of this 1/2 link. But, if you gotta have it....

The steel of which the half-link is made, specifically the plates of the half-link, are not of a guage (thickness) equal to the other links of the chain where the half-link will be used. As the proverb tells us, "A chain is no stronger than its weakest link!" My bicycle chain is connected by your half-link, but its strength has been weakened.

This is a great component if you are running a single speed bike with vertical dropouts and don’t wanna run a chain tensioner. However, just a couple years ago I was able to get these between two and three dollars at my local bike shop and online. Can’t get them at local bike shops anymore unless they order them and they are close to $10 each for one single bike link.
