ELC T-5000 5000-Watt Voltage Converter Transformer - Step Up/Down - 110V/220V - Circuit Breaker Protection

I recently moved from the UK to live in Canada and wanted if I could to take some of our UK electricals with us.The ELC T-5000(w)is a perfect tool to make this happen.The reason for the 5000 watt model is that my wife has a 2000watt steam generator iron.(The highest wattage item that we have)The benchmark for getting the right inverta for your product is 1.5 times the appliances usage or wattage plus a bit of breathing space in that the possibility of any overheating issues are significantly reduced.Be careful you don’t buy an inverta that is gonna struggle to do the job..Estimate your usage needs above rather than below.....be safe..The iron works fine.The Dyson and all the electricalswe brought with us all working fine.Wired in from the basement to points around the house so we can run English kit anywhere...Cannot praise this inverta enough,perfect bit of kit.Study though a touch heavy.Good price and fast delivery.What more would you need....nothingWill recommend this product to anyone that will listen...

I wanted to replace a steam station that I had for many happy years and now the brand is only available in Europe. I knew the high wattage appliance would not be safe to run on a basic household 120V circuit with just a plug adapter. After extensive research and some basic math, I ordered this transformer and I couldn’t be happier. It allowed me to use the appliance without a major upgrade to my home electrical systems.

I am in Canada using the 5000W step up/down transformer for a 1850W espresso machine that came from Europe. The converter works perfect, it does not make any noise. We tried it out on a 220V power tool and it works fine for that, too.Overall very happy with this purchase!

When I received the package it seemed to have been used in the past. The cover of the box (product) seems to have been opened and closed by someone in a very harsh way. This might means that the device has been opened and repaired again.
