I may be a study nerd, but I have to say that I REALLY enjoy studying ABA in this 3rd edition Cooper et al text. It is of course the gold standard to all tiers of Board certification. I’ve been using a popular study manual, which was adequate for preparing on a lower level. But I have to say the depth of information presented in this text makes the concepts easier to understand and cements them more firmly in my memory, as well as giving me a basis for actually preparing to work with concepts - far and away this is of course a much better preparation for both the certification and for working application. It could be due to my particular background, which is already heavy in most of these concepts. Or maybe my distractability doesn’t work well with the other study manual. But I find this book very engrossing and engaging. Of course no need for me to comment on it’s completeness or adherence to standards, that’s already well known. The cover is strong, the binding good. The print really is a bit small, but most of it is very readable. In some cases info on illustrations or some italicized or other non-standard fonts are a bit difficult to read. All I can say is that I’m very glad I purchased this textbook. It’s well worth the money and the prices I found on Amazon were reasonable. I did have to wait a bit for it to arrive back in stock, but less than two weeks. Overall very pleased.
