Gundelsheim Pickles have been my favorite dill pickles for a many years. They are crispy and I really like the flavor. Haven't checked lately, but when my elderly mother was supposed to keep as much salt out of her diet as possible, I checked and found these pickles to have a lower salt content than most other dill pickles that I have tried. The Gundelsheim jar is in the shape of a barrel and my little 4 year old grandson always asks for a pickle from the Barrel of Pickles. This winter I ordered these pickles on line and they came six at one time.The shipper must have left the pickles out in the freezing weather while they were on the way because when the pickles arrived they were icy cold and not crispy because they had frozen. When I told the Gundelsheim office, they immediately sent me six more and they came very soon in perfect shape.My whole family has been enjoying these delicious dill pickles.

If you know how to easily open a jar of this stuff other than putting an icepick hole in the top to break the vacuum please share it. They are right tasty though!

Great tasting pickle that is very difficult to find around here so had to order from Amazon. Pickles, in glass jars, arrived earlier than expected and in perfect condition.

Good but not as good (taste, crunch) as the Gundelsheim barrel pickles I used to buy in local stores but, inexplicably, can't find anywhere near me anymore. Works in recipes and even on sandwiches but not as good just by itself.

I'm no pickle expert, but these are the best pickles. Crisp and crunchy. Sweet and sour. Not overpowering. These are real pickles, not the chemically tasting mass produced ones you usually find in the supermarket. My local store carried these for awhile, but discontinued them. Thanks to Amazon I can still have these wonderful pickles. Pricy but worth it.
