BOSCH HBSLKIT 7 pc. SpinLOCK Universal Hole Saw Kit

I purchased this 3 3/4’’ hole saw to cut four holes into the bed of my pickup truck to install the mopar 5th wheel prep package! After locating the 4 locations I drilled a pilot hole in the 4 locations before switching over to the hole saw. I used a scrap piece of plywood to use as a guide and also used the hole saw in reverse to score the sprayed bed liner before switching back to forward and cutting through. The hole saw cut through making 4 nice holes. I did need to deburr around each hole so it wouldn’t cut into the rubber trim pieces, and I also used some rust oleum paint to protect the raw edges. It’s a good hole saw at a reasonable price and I would definitely purchase this brand again when I need another hole saw.

Did the job of cutting a hole through my inside wall and outside hardy siding but was too dull for any more hole after one use. I only need it for the one hole, so was fine with me, but you may look for something stronger for repeat use.

I've had a lot of different hole saws over the years, and my experience is that Bosch's product is among the best. They cut great in all sorts of materials, are durable and long-lasting, and they're quick-release arbors are top-notch... possibly the best feature. Sometimes I gotta buy another brand, but when I've got the option I go Bosch and I've never regretted it.

Let's face it, hole saws like this are generally used only a few times. I bought a 3 3/4" hole saw. Its the perfect size for installing a battery selector switch on a boat panel. I seriously doubt I will use it more than once or twice in my entire life. But it did a great job boring a nice looking hole that needed almost no cleanup. People often attempt to cut holes like this with a jigsaw or other "unsatisfactory" methods that create a nasty looking hole that takes an hour to cleanup. Buy a decent hole saw and the job is done in under a minute and the hole is almost perfect. And it doesn't break the bank so nobody feels bad if you only use it once or twice.

Used this with the Bosch HSBAMP Standard Two-Pin Mandrel (B007VHGMES) to cut a clean hole in a 3/4" multi-ply. Took about 7 minutes with my drill. Pressing hard will cause it to bind. Be patient, and let the saw work. Remove sawdust at intervals while drilling to keep it working well through the cut.

I love those hole saws, they make the job much easier. The only downside is that they don't last long when it comes to drilling in cement board, but replacements are reasonably priced.

It's a hole saw. It's makes holes in stuff. It works very well and is durable. Hard to believe it is one of the more affordable units on the market. Less expensive than no-name china product, which I avoid purchasing even if it's cheaper.
