Technivorm Moccamaster13192 Manual Brew Basket, One Size

The basket was exactly as described and a duplicate of our old one. The drip is working as it should now. Perfect.

bought this to replace the brew basket on our Moccamaster that wouldn't seal. The replacement worked well for a few pots of coffee but now this replacement doesn't seal well either allowing coffee to continue to drip even after it's set to the closed position. Cleaning and rinsing doesn't seem to help much. Seems that a redesign of this part may be in order. The Moccamaster makes good coffee and I suppose one could wait until the entire pot has brewed before getting coffee but, why include a part that doesn't function as intended?Update July 2021: I finally got rid of the afflicted brew basket reviewed above and bought another one some months ago. THAT one is working as it's supposed to. Added a star to my review, but I still think this part is a weak link in the Moccamaster design.
