Good features, but flimsy zippers
At first I was very please with this backpack. It arrived quickly, has great, bright colors, and great features. It had a strong, unpleasant scent when taking it out of the plastic bag it's wrapped in, so I had to put it in the garage to air-out for about a week to help neutralize the chemical smell. No worries, though, I thought; the bag looks great, I love the hip straps with the zippered pockets to help distribute weight, the whistle-buckle on the chest strap is a good feature, too.... but then I went to pack it up for a trip, the zipper on the front vertical pocket snapped right off, with a piece of the metal holding the zip on breaking. I was only putting a travel packet of Wet Wipes in it, on my very first use and it just broke. I don't have enough time to return it and get a new one before my trip, so I am hoping the rest of the pack holds up.

Great bag if it had been longer.
Overall the backpack was really nice for the price. There is comfy padding on the back portion of the bag which I really liked. I also liked the pockets on the hip belt. However I had to return the backpack because the hip belt hit me at my waist (For reference I'm 5 "11"). Also the straps (hip and shoulder) are really thin.Be sure if you buy a backpack with a hip belt that the belt sits on your hips comfortably. It will save your neck and shoulders!! For the price and to just use casually I would recommend the bag.

This is a great 40L product for this price
This is a great 40L product for this price. The zippers are not made of very solid material, but I've used this backpack several times when shopping groceries at Trader Joe's, packed it completely full with heavy items and the backpack has lasted the weight. One minus is that this backpack is not very safe from pickpocketers and thieves, as the outside pockets can be easily opened and there are no "secret" pockets inside for a wallet or keys. There is also no proper laptop case inside. With that said, it's a good cheap backpack for hiking trips or grocery shopping.

Got this for our 6 year old, will work great for her hiking. Small enough to fit her but will hold what she needs it to.

Bought my backpack with such excitement because it's really good looking... it was a Chritmas present for my dad. On our trip Dec 26, after loading his stuff, the first zipper broke. What a disappointment!
