The layout is colourful, easy to follow, and packed with short, focused exercises that keep kids interested without overwhelming them. I really like how each topic is clearly explained with examples, followed by targeted practice questions that build confidence step by step. The tone is friendly and supportive, and my child actually enjoys working through the pages — which says a lot! It’s also great for identifying areas that need more practice, and the mix of study notes and questions makes it ideal for both revision and daily learning support. Verdict: 5/5 — A brilliant, well-designed book that makes Year 2 maths enjoyable and effective. Highly recommend for home learning or extra school support.

A great guide book to assist you year 2 child with maths study. Has clear informative instructions and simple example calculations to follow. Pages are clear, colourful and thick. Used so much to support learning. Also purchased the English guide which was just as good.
