Convenient and Easy to Use
Very happy with this purchase. I consider myself tech literate but I am by no means a network specialist. Had no problem setting this up in RAID 1 (basically a mirror mode - each 4 TB HD mirrors the other so that if one fails, an exact copy of your data is still safe on the other HD), mapping network drives and accessing via the cloud on my laptop and phone. Speeds are great and the dashboard is intuitive and easy to use. I've now moved 500GB+ of data to the drive, backed up all of my videos and pictures, and am running a full image backup. My data is secure and super easy to access centrally on my home network and through the cloud. Some of the reviews on Amazon US mention that the NAS has a tendency to disappear from the network after a while and only comes back after a hard reset. I haven't had this issue yet and it's been running flawlessly, but it's only been a week. Hoping it stays that way - will update this review if I run into issues.

A good & easy to operate cloud drive with good support for smart phones. Download speed maybe a tad on the slower side but still acceptable.

Very happy with the item and works well. Easy to set up and easy to use. No more cables and multiple storage devises. One Stop Shop for all folders from any device. Looks good too... :-)

Great Product From WD as Usual!!!
Amazing Western Digital as usual, actually this is the 4th ex2 ultra drive I have, I got this diskless as I already have 2x6tb WD Red NAS drive, I just put them to work!

Very easy to set up and some convenient and reliable.

Small and good for home media server but installation was a bit tricky
Installation of the hard disk was not as easy as expected! I had to re-install the HDD multiple times till finally it gets connected. Then, I encountered an annoying error saying "Power was lost form the system. Performing file system consistency check. please wait" and it kept appearing despite multiple restarts of the device. Finally - and after reading lots of blogs - I did a hard reset for the key in the back of the device and it started working. The software setup process was easy though.

Ich war erst etwas ungeduldig, da bei Amazone Lieferung bis 20:00 Uhr stand. Da ich mit GLS schon mal Probleme mit den Benachrichtigen hatte, habe ich mich beim Verkäufer gemeldet. Sehr schnelle und hilfreiche Antwort (mit Sendungsdaten von GLS). Paket war halt nur einen halben Tag später bei mir und GLS hat diesmal auch eine Benachrichtigung hinterlassen. Alles soweit perfekt gelaufen. Mit der Festplatte bin ich bisher sehr zufrieden.

Ik ken het product door en door, daar ik een vroegere versie het gebruikt. De vroegere versie heeft me nooit in de steek gelaten gedurende de jaren die ik het gebruikt heb, maar begon op het laatst wat traag te worden. Belangrijk om te weten is dat WD het oudere toestel wel constant is blijven upgraden met de nieuwe releases. Een succes dus.
