Just a decent factory replacement, possibly a slight upgrade. No gimmick tweater b.s. that sounds like crap after a month.

I'm impressed with these speakers. They make great REPLACEMENT speakers for your blown OEM speakers. Please note they aren't for anything loud or bassy. They're good for normal day to day level listening. I've since then returned them as I replaced them with other higher output to meet my personal needs and listening preference. But over all I will suggest these speakers to those who just want to get rid of their factory blown speakers or replace em with something that will put out a more clear sound. Boss Audio makes great products and I will always be impressed with their products and will continue to use them.

These are definitely good value for the money. Bass response is decent as long as you have realistic expectations. High frequency response is a bit lacking, but despite the dual cone design, you still can't ask for too much in terms of what kind of high frequency response can be achieved with a 5x7 full-range speaker. However, just coupling these with with cheap GRS 1" Dome tweeter with a 2.2uF non-polar capacitor is sufficient to achieve acceptable high end response. They seem to be a good match for integrated class-D amps (such as 2x50W TPA3116) as they are 4-ohm speakers with respectable efficiency.
