The Shadows Between Us

This book is one of my favorite of all time!! I don't know why it is getting so much hate and I am so sad that not a lot of people enjoyed it like I did :0. The characters were super cute and I gotta say I dream sometimes of the romance of Kallian and Alessandra. They are such a beautiful couple!! The world building was also so very beautiful. This is one of my favorite book of 2020! I was actually in a slump but when I read this book I got my pace up again and because I am in a slump again I think I will read it again :) What is the book about? Alessandra is tired of being overlooked, but she has a plan to gain power: 1) Woo the Shadow King. 2) Marry him. 3) Kill him and take his kingdom for herself. No one knows the extent of the freshly crowned Shadow King’s power. Some say he can command the shadows that swirl around him to do his bidding. Others say they speak to him, whispering the thoughts of his enemies. Regardless, Alessandra knows what she deserves, and she’s going to do everything within her power to get it. But Alessandra’s not the only one trying to kill the king. As attempts on his life are made, she finds herself trying to keep him alive long enough for him to make her his queen—all while struggling not to lose her heart. After all, who better for a Shadow King than a cunning, villainous queen? Personally, I found the story plot very interesting, and the story was very intriguing. I read the whole book in one sitting because the chapters kept ending in suspense and I wanted to know what was going on badly. I literally stayed in bed till 2 AM reading this book. As you continue reading the book, you get a kind of connection with Alessandra. What I mean by this is that you understand her feelings and the narration is very good. I personally liked Kallian. He is handsome, cunning, funny, selfish, lovable.

first book i ever read and it is amazing ones u start reading you can never get yourself to stop it’s very indulging and makes u want to see what happens next. i recommend everyone to read this book

Romance with supernatural aspects. I really like Kallias. It’s a one sided enemies to lovers.

This book was very average, there were no scenes that made me feel connected to the characters, and 0 character development, Alessandra was trying to kill the king for his kingdom but she could've had it without killing him, we're supposed to feel bad for her because of her father's neglect but we never get to see how it affected her other than making her annoying and bossy, she is the epitome of girl boss gaslight gatekeep, instead of having the author make her a strong character, she just adds a very out of character scene where she acts like a strong character every now and then. I can't even tell what's out of character for the mc's be up they have no fixed character or personality

I found this book completely on accident but im glad I did. If you're a reader who likes fast paced books this is for you👍

Lo compré porque me enamoré de su portada muy poco me importó la historia. Pero me he enamorado de la historia por completo. Alexandra es la segunda hija de un noble por lo que nunca nadie la tiene en cuenta y pasa totalmente desapercibida. Sin embargo, es ambiciosa y lleva un tiempo organizando un plan para llegar hasta lo más alto. El primer paso es conquistar al Rey de las Sombras, después casarse con él y finalmente matarlo para conseguir su poder y gobernar sin que nadie le ponga límites. A pesar de que todo el mundo teme al Rey por esos poderes que tiene y que nadie realmente entiende cómo funcionan, ella no le tiene miedo y hará todo lo que sea necesario para conseguir su objetivo. El problema es que no es la única persona que quiere acabar con la vida del rey por lo que tendrá que protegerlo al menos hasta que ella pueda matarlo. Simplemente maravilloso, y aunque está en inglés es muy fácil de leer. Es Autoconclusivo así que otro punto más. En cuanto al envío, la verdad es que Amazon deja mucho que desear encontrar uanto a la protección de los libros, de la parte trasera venia con una marca pero que no me afecta, aun así puede que a alguien si le pueda molestar.

Absoultely loved this book, its one of my favorites so far. Well writen, feminist and a plottwist i didn't see coming.

This book was everything!! I don’t think I’ve read such a good book in a king time! this book was incredibly good written and the story was such a good representation of a bad ass female main character, who’s not dependent on the male MC. I loved that she made her own decisions and was smart and cunning. Though it didn’t hurt that the shadow king was a morally gray, dark haired man to add to my book boyfriend collection. The reactions this book pulled out of me is quite funny, laughter, smiles, screams, it had me at the edge of my seat so to speak, I never knew quite what would happen even though I had a hunch, but the end, well I didn’t see that coming!! I loved how the story developed and I will forever be grateful to the author for not leaving me at a certain point which I at one point was certain I would be, and which had resulted in pain for my part since I don’t know what I would’ve done if I were to wait until 2024 (when next book releases) to see what had happened. SERIOUSLY RECOMMEND THIS BOOK, the ONLY negative thing I have to say, we have to wait until 2024 for next book😭

The seller I ordered from was called pablo-escobar and the book was supposed to be the original hardcover but it was not original and it was paperback and there were missing pages and faded ink and the quality was horrible 😳😐 the story was pretty good though but it was not the way I expected the story is 4 stars and the book with that terrible quality gets 0.
