Be sure to rinse well, and freeze bags before, and after prepared for a quick meal.
Trader Joe's is the best Basmati rice. So easy to cook and flavor to your liking. I have used this for many years. I no longer live near TJ's. I have purchased Basmati rice for many years, and recommend this brand. I like to use Beef or Chicken Stock with veggies and seasonings. update 4/20/18 I received my order yesterday direct from Seller and was very pleased with fast delivery and extended us by date. A Company you can trust!

Stinks of chlorine
Do not buy this. It has been chemically washed and the smell does not rinse out. Stick to an organic brown rice. This is going in the garbage. Product cannot be returned.

Very clean whole grain basmati rice
I've been using this rice for years. I love the smell while it is cooking. I love how little garbage it contains, so I don't have to spend an hour cleaning it before cooking. I love how nice it comes out after cooking and how delicious it tastes.I do not love the packaging. I've seen two versions recently. One has a zipper reclosable opening which tends to impede getting the rice out of the package. The other is a traditional sealed bag, which has to be cut open and then clipped shut. Easier to access the rice, but more of a bother to reclose. I don't know the solution, but I hope the packaging company is working on one.The vendor charged a much higher price than the Trader Joe's store near me.

Cooking Instructions
The rice was OK. However, I had a problem with the cooking instructions. The instructions say: "Bring 2 cups of water to a boil in saucepan with tight fitting lid, add 1-cup rice. Cover and reduce heat to a simmer. Cook for 35 minutes or until water is absorbed." I did this but I interpret simmer to be be just below boiling. When I checked after about 20 minutes, the water was all gone, and the rice was still on the hard side. The next time I tried, I used 2 1/2 cups of water, and set my gas stove temperature half-way between Medium and Low (3). When I checked after about 25 minutes, the water was gone and the rice was OK to eat. I may have to set the temperature a little lower the next time I try, but still use 2 1/2 cups of water.

Sucker Punch
Just got back to TJ's after months of social distancing. Same rice same brand was $2.99 per bag there. This one should be relabeled Trump Rice.
