Best General Purpose Medium
I've been using this stuff for years for a variety of purposes. It's a go to for any sort of gluing down/collage type work and I keep finding uses for it in DiY projects. I've used it with many brands of acrylic paint, not just Golden, to get more transparency out of colors and for glazing effects in general. I'm currently using it with Holbein Acryla Gouache, a very matte and opaque sort of acrylic paint, to achieve some transparency as needed while still more or less keeping the matte look of the paint.

Golden is Golden!
I've used several different matte medium brands and I find this the best 'fluid' matte medium out there. Yes, Golden is more pricey than others but I feel worth the cost. It's especially great to use when I collage tissue papers. I brush a light layer on my substrate, lay down and brush out the tissue from the middle out, then lightly brush on the top of the tissue for great adhesion. For the best deal, I will buy the larger bottle next time.

Product performs as advertised.
I saw this product in video on mixed media. Golden liquid acrylics and this medium made a beautiful glaze. Just the look I was after.!

It's Golden, it must be super!
Truthfully, I have not yet had a chance to use this purchase, but Golden is a super A+++ company and I have used their well-designed and dependable products for years. As a demanding artist with archival concerns, I really trust them. Can't say enough for the company, so I expect superior quality. I use it often, just one layer is enough to put an oil paintong over it. Started a graphite sketch in you sketchbook but want it to be painted in oils? No problem - one layer over the sketch, wait a few hours and you are good to go. Amazing.

If you have never used Golden products before - you will be hooked and want the many other mediums they produce !! It sticks collage brilliantly with flawless blending into paper - this product is matt remember and will produce a opaque effect!(use the gloss gel if you want a translucent finish ). Tip - apply to an area with old credit card, place collage on the top and burnish down with the credit card sweeping over the piece to remove air bubbles and excess glue and put any glue left over back into the pot for next time ! Golden products are worth their weight in gold !!

I use this with my Golden fluid acrylics to reduce the shine and to reduce the viscosity of my Golden heavy body acrylics . It's not a 100% effective but reduces the shine somewhat, however the proportion with white colour can turn grey if it's less than a 50% mix, with other colours it remains vibrant. Opacity is medium, not a 100%, depending on how much paint you add. It has been useful to use with my other Golden paints and the supplier is providing authentic Golden products. It doesn't work that long as an extender, as it claims. Five minutes max and it starts to dry up.
