Decided it was time for a new phone carrier after my Otterbox belt clip snapped like a twig when I clipped on the edge of my uber driver's car as I climbed into the vehicle awhile back.I chose this product after probably an hour of comparing phone cases because the listing asserts it to be made of leather and the reviews looked pretty solid. (I seldom if ever buy something on Amazon unless it has a 4+ star rating with at least a couple hundred reviews.) It arrived well-packaged and did not disappoint upon the first inspection. I am not 100% certain the material is actually leather though. That's not to say I'm certain it's not... it's just that it looks a little too glossy to me. Maybe it's just the way they treat the leather or something. The zippers and clips for the shoulder strap are all metal of some kind and seem solid enough. The stitching on the loop for the belt to slide through looks good as well. The material on the inside is some kind of really thin canvas-like material. It's the iffiest part of the carry case to me. It doesn't look super cheap or anything, but it also doesn't strike me super strong.My Samsung Galaxy Note 9 fits in the front pocket (the actual pocket intended for the cell phone perfectly without my Otterbox Defender on it. With a thicker case like that, it's still going to fit, but know that flap is not going to closer over the top of it. Fully "suited up" though, in my OD, the phone fits with room to spare in the larger zipper compartment. If the company releases another variant of this at some point, that would be my main recommendation at this stage... to make that front compartment bigger so that it can accommodate a large phone WITH a heavy-duty protective case. While I can make do fine putting the phone in the larger zipper compartment, this phone pouch loses a little bit of its utility it requiring you to use up what should be the storage compartment for your charger cable, battery bank, etc. with your phone. You can still put a small battery bank in that front pouch, but not much more than that, and I don't think it would work very well for a phone charger.I've owned this for about a month now, more or less, and have had no issues with it so far. Time will tell how it actually holds up, but the construction and feel of it don't make me feel like it's going to rip apart the first time it's put through any stress or anything.If this survives for a year or two, I'd say it's worth every penny, but if it doesn't last at least that long, my assessment would be that it's a little overpriced at $35.

It easily fits my iPhone XR with protective case in the front pocket and my wallet in the zippered pocket. It looks good and seems well made.UPDATE: I am pleased with the case itself but I discovered that the cross body strap has a manufacturing flaw over a 1-2 inch section. If I can't get a replacement strap I will have to return the purchase to Amazon.FOLLOWUP: The matter was promptly resolved to my satisfaction by the vendor.

I bought the side of specifically to use when I go horseback riding to put important items in. This way if something happens and I'm separated from my horse I have my important stuff with me instead of in the sandbag on the horse. It has plenty of room to put a phone identification and some cash in. The strap is long enough to put around my neck and shoulder and I like the clip so I can clip it to my belt loop to keep it from moving around while I'm riding. So far it has worked out well.

Bought a fine black one from same maker last week, 5 stars! The leather on this brown one did not match the quality of the example attached to the product. Really too bad. The brand is excellent. I am puzzled as to why the brown leather is so inferior to the black.

Perfect fit for smart phone, has real leather with very good looking design. Great for carrying your mobile phone while riding on a bike.

Awaiting the summer to use it. It certainly looks good and strong and will hold all I want.
