Had an old 2000 lb ATV winch that I mounted to the wall of my shop. Use that in conjunction with a block and tackle to lift things like my mower deck and an overlanding rig that goes in the back of my truck. This remote was perfect for adding the ability to lift and lower with one hand while "steering" with the other in the case of my overlanding rig. I did clip off the connectors and extend the wires a bit, as they weren't quite as long as I would have liked. I just used some 12 gauge low voltage wire for the extensions. I also added a set of alligator clips on the power wires to so I can just hook up to the battery as needed. Seems to be a solid product and makes it so much easier to do the heavy lifting in my shop.

Great replacement item when the motor works but the original control has failed.

Simple way to control your small winch. Worked well enough for my 3k winch. Wish the cables were a bit longer on both legs, but it is sufficient.

This worked as I had hoped - no more intermittent failing while using the winch. The control that came with the winch was super cheesy - it only worked a couple of times, and after that it was hit or miss if it would actually engage the winch. This works every time, although the cable is short so I have to be close to the winch. Still I am happy with my purchase.

I have bought 3 of these to date. They work great and are easy to install. But the controller doesn’t keep the rain water out and they stop working on the second year. I tried a different type and it didn’t work very well. So I went back to this one because it works great. I just wish it had a better water tight seal.
