I use this in my car daily.
One of the most helpful things I bought for my car even if it's not a perfect fit. My car has no center console so I put this on the transmission hump and you kind of have to wedge it under the seats because it's a little long, but that helps it stay in place. Spikes on the bottom don't really do much unless it's on a completely flat carpeted surface. It looks the same as I bought it and hasn't really degraded in quality at all. I would definitely recommend this product if you need a storage console but I would say to keep in mind that it's not adjustable and it may not fit all vehicles well.

Good Product
Use in my '55 Buick. Fits great on the transmission tunnel due to the curved bottom and grips nicely to the carpet. Works great for older cars that lack cup holders.

Set it and forget it
The best thing I can say is that after more than a year it has stayed put. It is sitting on the transmission hump, so I expected it to fall off at some point, but it hasn't. The car is carpeted, but I'm still surprised. It is big enough to be useful, and small enough to fit into the small space we have available. The large compartment is slotted for CD cases, or can be used as a junk collector. We do the latter. ;) The smaller compartment is about the right size for sunglasses. The only negative is the cup holder. It is a one size fits all design. It works fine for some drinks, but not so fine for others. The larger heavier drinks are a bit wobbly, particularly for "non-standard" shapes and sizes. Cans work well. I'm not sure why there is a notch on the side of the cupholder. It seems to make things worse for topheavy drinks. Now that I think about it, I might want to try duct tape or something and see if it helps. If I were designing it, I'd probably skip the concentric rings as well. It probably was intended to fit fast food soda cups, but it causes the larger drinks to sit higher, increasing the wobbliness. I shouldn't single out these folks. It's a pretty standard cupholder design. I haven't seen one that is truly perfect, including ones factory built into cars. If you're worried that you won't like it, at $9 bucks, it's worth a try. You'll probably like it.

Perfect fit
I bought this to place on the floor of the front seat in our truck. The low profile fits nicely. The large square opening is a perfect fit for a square box of tissues. 2 additional cup holders is always helpful. A spot for loose change and pen is handy. Great buy!

Good quality, but needs cup holders that work for common cups.
For certain people, it would be great, for me, it was ok, and I made it better. These are fairly standard cup holders; unfortunately, unless you buy a large drink cup at a fast food place, most home plastic cups just flop around inside the cup holders. That is kind of the way it is with all of the ones on the market though. They need to actually go out and buy some of the cups sold in the dollar stores, and design cup holders to fit. I actually took this into a Dollar General with me, trying to find any cup at all that would fit well in the holders; there are none!! So, I bought some stick on Velcro, and lined the inside edge to take up some space. Now my cups do not wobble. The center would have been perfect to hold tissue, if it weren't for the ribs that hold CD cases. I don't listen to CDs, but I did want a space for the tissue. I used a very sharp razor knife and got rid of them; now it works perfectly. Be careful with that razor though, it takes a lot of pressure to get rid of these, and it could hurt pretty bad if you slip.

Minor modification to Console
The console was perfect for my truck. The large rectangular area fits a box of tissue very nicely. Since my truck has built in cup holders, I am not using those in the console. The console holds sunglasses nicely. I've modified the console using a block of wood fitted in the void space underneath and have screws through the sides of the console. Then I used Velcro to affix the console to the front center hump in my truck.

No longer at my wallyworld, works great
Wanted this for wifes old car, did some modifying with a jigsaw and velcroed it down to her cupholderless console area, and it works like a charm! Two different diameters in each cup space, plus a mild taper to snug up the cup. Make sure and secure this product with something like velcro on the bottom. it is very lightweight, and a full cup of soda with a sharp turn will send everything flying under your feet, and maybe all over your shoes. Avoid the ones with the adjustable cupholders, the plastic mechanism is cheap and the ones i bought for my wife and myself both broke within weeks.

Not a bad item
i have a 2003 Chevy S10 Extended Cab. i purchased this console simply to store my music c/d's, ive really no use for the cup holders since my vehicle is equipped. my vehicle is an automatic column gear truck, my hump area has a large area needing something. although the console is small compared to the size hump i need covering, it does not slip and slide on turns but i am going to apply the sticky-back velcro to help keep it in place. i especially like the coin-slot holders you can stack your change with. for $16.20, this item has far more quality than the ones i looked at from my local stores which on average would have charged me basically the same price.
