Worth the money for a branded item
This is a nice piece of kit. It's very understated in its design but also perfectly functional. And I'm happy to see that it's bereft of the unnecessary acutriments that seem to be popular in other 'non-brands', no LED display showing charge/output/input voltages, and absolutely no torch!I bought it because the last two high mAh powerpacks that I've bought over the last two and a half years both failed just after they were year old. They were not (shall we say) recognised brands, so I decided this time to go for one that was. This Anker A1287 (525 Power Bank (PowerCore Essential 20K PD) powerbank was not the initial one I was looking at on Amazon, but there was a reviewer who stated that he was astounded by the by the new large 'block' which only supplied a slightly quicker charge for no extra capacity, and one extra USB. He also said that he had been using Anker for six years, and this particular model daily for the last three of them, and it 'had not missed a beat'. His advice was that this would be the one that people should purchase, I took it. Amazon reviews are there to help us make purchase decisions based on real customers, even if that review points to a different option.I took it because I don't need three 'outs' on my charger, two are fine. I also prefer a smaller powerbank, especially if a larger one has the same capacity. I am hoping mine will prove as reliable as was his, it will almost certainly be more so reliable than the last two expensive failures that I bought. But as I said this is a nice piece of kit and it is very simple to use and it comes with the two kinds of cable that it can be used with. It also comes with a very nice drawstring cover, which is grippy and thicker and more protective than it looks. You charge it by simply plugging it into an output source which connects to the USB-C on the powerbank. Mine plugs straight into a wall socket which has USB outlets. There are for four tiny blue LEDs embedded in the button on the front face of the power bank that will flash individually as it's charging. When all are lit and not flashing - it is charged - and it does take a very, very long time from an outlet like mine. But then they all have done, and I don't mind as this holds its charge for a seriously long time....weeks in my case and probably longer. To charge tablets phones and large electronics like that, you plug the cable into either of the two ports, and the other ends (duh), into your device. There's nothing you need to do if charging these items, the lights of which indicate capacity stored in the power bank will start to flash and as the power drains the lights will diminish one by one. Unplug your device when done.It also has something that I've never seen on any of my previous 'banks' and which I don't need on this one, and never will. It's trickle-charging mode - it's specifically to charge Bluetooth earphones and smart watches...According to the instruction book this can only be done from the USB slot on the charger which is indicated by 'IQ' as opposed to 'PD' which is the USB-C output. How it's done is as follows:Either press the power button in the powerbank twice, or hold for two seconds until the first of the four LED's turns green to enter trickle-charging mode.Plug in and then charge your devices at the IQ port, and then remove them from the powerbank.Press the power button once (LED turns blue) to exit trickle-charging mode.Like I said earlier it's a nice power bank and I do hope it will last a lot longer than the non branded ones that I've bought previously.Update. After a full charge it will charge my Samsung A22 5G three times from around 5%. It takes an absolute age to do the last 2%, I don't know why as I have 'fast charge' turned off in the settings. But once it's done charging the phone thrice, it has about 7% of the fourth charge before it dies with one blue LED showing. I do charge my phone powered off.UPDATE 2 (2 years later)I've not used it a lot as I have solar panels so charge my phone from the USB ports in the sockets for free, but I do use it if it is night and I need to charge my phone, or if I am away. Now it will only charge my almost phone two-and a half times, and it takes a whole day to charge itself....

Anker Phone Chargers, never let you down.
Usb and usbc. Given as a gift and am told it is excellent. Similar size to many modern mobile phones. Never lose power again. Handy, portable, a little weighty but not too bad. Tidy

Excellent quality
I bought this because some of the smaller ones won’t charge an iPad and pack up after one or two phone charges. Its charging power is excellent, though the weight is higher as a result. I’ve just returned from a short holiday where we were in the middle of nowhere and it charged both my iPad and phone and still had some power left. I also plugged the iPad into it when I realised I was about to lose a Zoom call because of low battery and couldn’t get to a wall plug. You need to buy the Type C charging plug separately however - I’ve docked one star because I think it’s bad that it comes without a useable plug, no other equipment does unless it uses a basic standard plug, but at least it has the cables. It took me quite a bit of research to discover I needed to buy a different plug to fast charge the power bank. I think it should either come with it or be clearer in the description that you need one. Other reviews mention it being slow to charge on an ordinary UBS plug, and some have sent it back, so it seems like bad marketing to me. I bought the Anker Type C plug but you can get cheaper ones.

Anker 20,000mah power bank
The Anker 20,000mah power bank is well built and does exactly what it’s supposed to do so far. With the right cable, the charging is okayish charging iPhone 13 Pro Max about 3 times and a bit.

Superb kit
Bought this as an emergency power bank when necessary and love the build, design and it's not too cumbersome weight-wise. It definitely is a high speed charger taking a phone from 10% to 75% in just over 20mins. Was so impressed I ordered a second one
