Only gun you'll ever need... (almost)
I have a number of spray guns at all kinds of price points. I have nice guns for things like automotive paint. I have cheap guns for nasty catalyzed things that can ruin guns like high build primers. I have pressure pots for... well, not much because they are a nightmare to clean.Since purchasing this, I have not touched any of my other equipment at all (with one exception). We recently built a bunch of composite tooling that required LOTS of catalyzed high build polyester primer. These often have a very short work time, like 10 minutes or less, and I liked the idea of being able to toss the nozzle if the coating went off in the gun. I've probably sprayed 20 gallons of Duratec primer with this gun and the 2.0 nozzles.I've also sprayed some much finer coatings with the smaller nozzles including automotive base and clear. To my surprise, the finish quality was superior to any other gun I've used AND it is super easy to dial in for exactly what you want. Cleanup is a breeze no matter what you use. The supposedly "disposable" nozzles last nearly forever and require very little solvent or time to clean. Before purchasing, I really didn't like the idea of "consumable" waste from the single use liners. However, with the enormous amount of solvent and time you save I think they easily pay for themselves. The only thing I can complain about is that there is no nozzle bigger than 2.0mm. I spray a lot of gel coat as well and the 2.0 is marginal for that. So I do still have to use a traditional dump gun for bigger gel coat jobs. I have actually drilled out an older nozzle to about 2.4 and it works ok, but obviously the spray quality suffers a bit.Since this is targeted at the automotive crowd, 2.0 is huge. But I'd be willing to be there are a lot of people out there wanting to use this for gel coat. Everyone hates messy dump guns and this could totally replace them if they released bigger nozzles.Still, this is an outstanding do-nearly-everything gun and I'd highly recommend it to anyone.

Much improved to PPS1.0! Very happy!
I have been using the first iteration of this system for a few years. A few weeks ago the gun broke. The design on the 2.0 system is great for connecting the cups and paint nozzle. Cleaning is a breeze and adjusting the pattern is super easy. The old system was much more difficult to connect the gun to the replacement heads, this design is so much better. I did my first base/clear job last week and it looks professionally done. I am actually looking forward to painting with this system, I highly recommend this.

Good for beginners
Got this not knowing anything. Did the YouTube university on painting cars and this did just fine. Super easy and no brainer to use. Use the tips like the instructions say just wish it came with more. But the tips are reusable af. Did a whole car on the supplied tips and they still look new after a good cleaning.

Amazing gun/system
I’m not a professional and don’t paint every day, so I love the simplicity and ease of cleaning the gun!. Totally worth it to have a system with disposable tips to ensure a clean spray every time. Love it. I’ve tried to go with low cost tools and materials in the past, but it always ends up costing me more in the end. 3M has never let me down!!!

Versatile Spray Gun
A great choice for the do-it-yourselfer who only sprays a few times a year. I originally bought it to try it out and see if it out performed my Eastwood. It did much better than I expected, and the clean up is a breeze. I will likely use it as my primer/sealer gun from now on.

Buena pistola
Very light. Basically does'nt need any cleaning just the needle. The only con is that the disposible tips seem pretty pricy. But the way it spray is great. I used it for primer and I couldn'nt mess up. Keep it away from your friends.

Super clean system
First, I am a “journeyman amateur” when it comes to HVLP painting. So take my review with a grain of salt. IMO this system is ideal for small batch jobs involving multiple finishes AND large batch jobs with finishes that tend to clog / ruin your gun (e.g., spraying POR15). Everything forward of the gun needle is replaceable in a few seconds. The heads and cups all swap out very quickly. I can’t speak to the quality of finish, compared to a high end all-metal gun, but it looks to be excellent in my application, which is refinishing 330 linear feet of six foot steel fence with POR15 primer, followed by topcoat, using 1.8 heads. That's a workflow that benefits from disposable heads in lieu of frequent cleaning. The best HVLP gun I’ve used, hands down. Most highly recommended.

Nice features but Regulator is junk
This is my first spray gun, and the features are great for easy cleanup. Cleanup takes minutes, and the gun is light and feels good. Had problems with the regulator not holding steady, found out if I set my main tank output regulator pressure (80PSI) just below the start pressure (90PSI) it held steady. This did cause the max gun spray pressure to 24PSI. When I contacted 3M support who were very helpful and helped guide me to finding the above resolution said this gun should be used with 13CFM or greater compressors.
