This review is for the Eat Smart Precision 550 Pound Extra-High Capacity Digital Bathroom Scale.Oh my gosh, don't even waste your time looking anywhere else. I bought this in May 2024 for $41 and I am thrilled with it. It was very easy to set up.I weigh around 280 lbs. I'm tired of getting on scales and leaning forward to see the results over my boobs and then my heels come up and the weight changes. Aaargh! This scale is a great size so both of your feet easily fit on the platform. Once it detects your weight, it beeps and the weight lights up and stays there long enough for you to see.No tapping on the scale. You walk up and step on the scale and wait for the beep. It's very accurate (compared to a couple doctor's offices). The lit up numbers are large and very easy to see.Before it arrived I worried it might be too big to fit, but it's only a couple inches larger than standard scales. No big deal. I got the silver; it looks so nice and it's surprisingly easy to keep clean.My husband loves it, too. I highly recommend this to everyone.

I bought this scale because I wanted a wider area to step on & this one worked very well for me. I feel safe stepping on it & it has a light beep to let you know to go ahead & look down at your weight. I would recommend this as a purchase for those looking for the same reason that I did.

Quality of scale is on point, especially when factoring the cost. With it's higher weighing capacity, affordable and the color options...it was a NO BRAINER when comparing others from the beginning. The accuracy has been on right on key! FYI- the start-up & recalibration being very very easy to do(just keep your instructions until you get it down at least). It's a wonderful scale and we love it. If (or rather when) you get it, we hope you love it as well. Cheers~

I am very pleased with this scale. The large size makes it easy to step on. A beep sounds when the measurement is taken, which is convenient. The scale consistently gives the same reading, should you repeat your weight measurement. I would purchase this scale again without hesitation. The price of the scale was very fair.

We are very happy with this scale. We are pleased with the precision, the looks (silver), and the price. It is oversized which we feel safer. It's easy to use, just step on it and wait a bit until it beeps. On the bottom, there is button to change from pounds to kilos.

Works well though reads 5 to 8 lbs less than the dr. Office

I am nowhere near the maximum weight for this scale but wanted one with a larger platform since I am a senior and unsteady on my feet. I didn't feel secure on my old scale since it had a plastic base and was lightweight so when stepping up onto it sometimes would tip until both feet were in place, plus the display didn't light up anymore even with new batteries. I have never heard of this brand and was skeptical on the reliability but didn't want a glass top scale due to safety risks. When I saw this scale I was pleased with the reviews I read, so I decided to give it a try. It was delivered the same day I ordered it...BIG perk for me. It was easy to set up as it was already calibrated to "lbs" instead of "kg" from factory. I inserted the batteries (yes, found taped to the box), tapped to calibrate, and it was ready to use within minutes. It was within a pound of my old scale reading so I found a good starting point to continue with my weight loss program. I have not found any option for downloading an APP nor do I wish to have one. Also, after stepping on the scale and the final weight reading is displayed, it flashes 3 times but never does beep. If that means my scale is defective, I certainly don't miss the beeping and will continue with it as it is. I basically wanted an affordable digital readout scale with a backlight and a larger platform (not glass) that is both sturdy and aesthetically designed to be left out in the room, and this scale fits my list. I highly recommend.

POSITIVE: This well-made scale is appropriately sized for a large person, the display is large and easy to read, and it produces an audible beep to signal when you can step off the scale and see your weight. The scale remains on with the weight visible for perhaps 20 seconds before shutting off, giving enough time to look at the numbers if you can't see them while standing on the scale. The scale uses AAA batteries, which are less expensive than the lithium disk style batteries.NEGATIVE: That BEEP is loud. There's no sound adjustment or "off" switch for that awful noise. I envision finding a way to snip the speaker wires at some point. This seems like a design flaw to me!CONFUSING UNTIL YOU READ INSTRUCTIONS: (1) Weight automatically displayed in KG, not LB, until the button on bottom of the scale had been pushed to toggle from KG to LB. (2) You must tare the scale after it's set to LB. This involves tapping the scale to turn it on and waiting for it to turn off automatically. You can't just step on the scale and expect it to weigh you. (3) Three AAA batteries ARE included in the box, but they are taped to one of the pieces of cardboard protecting the scale. Since these are small, and they were pushed firmly into the cardboard, I didn't find them at first. The box and the instructions both indicate that 3 AAA batteries are included, but this doesn't jump right out at you. You need to know to look for them.
