Every now and then…
So every now and then my back just goes out on me. This strained/pulled/whatever it is back muscle wise, is very painful and immobilizing even for me. I find that these patches make me feel much better mobility wise, and make it a lot easier to sit at my desk comfortably for a day of work. Before these patches, I would typically have to call out of work/plans in general, as there was really no comfortable position for me to be in for many hours after the strain hit. Note: Now, the heat from the capsicum can be quite intense on the skin yes, but it provides quick and honest relief. The capsicum burns a bit at first but doesn’t harm my skin. The burning/heat sensation usually wears off after a few (sometimes) intense minutes. The relief lasts several hours into the day too. These are great to have on hand in the event of a pinch. They stick very, very well. large patch size so it covers a good area of skin, one patch is all I’ve ever needed to apply compared to the smaller Salon Pas patches. Buying here on Amazon is so much more cost effective than buying at my local grocery/drug store. If you ever need fast muscle tension and pain relief, these are a great buy.

These work good, but...
It depends on the situation. This company offers, the same product but with one of the ingredients from the regular Salonpas Patch. However, that one ingredient, can be very helpful versus, just this plain patch. The ingredient in this product is helpful. But, even with dispersing this patch and the regular ones, it is not the same as just buying the patch that they sell, that is similar to this product. It may be placebo. Or, how one perceives the effects. But, it is much easier to accept the ingredient that is helpful in this product, with the one additional ingredient. Which, is sold as a different product. Best results, are with removal of hair, and the cloth 3M tape over all edges. But, you can't leave these patches, or any patches similar on too long, or you will "burn" your skin, and have problems putting a patch in the same area, without a few days break. Different people have different effects. But, even though I can get more out of a patch, removing it, and letting the area "breath", is the best option. Eight hours is best, twelve is "pushing it", and twenty four hours, your going to have a problem, putting patches in that same area. Test it yourself, for your needs. But, if you are in a serious situation, take the patch off, let the area breath, and then put a new one. They offer lidocaine and different versions. For, me, it depends on the day, and situation, even if in the same area. So, one may do nothing, and another something. But, with this one, specifically, it is for an advanced user. Because, the ingredient will help, I guess depending on what the situation is. But, the one with this same ingredient and Menthol 1.25%, will be easier for the average person to deal with the pain, that this ingredient can cause, or to be perceived as uncomfortable. But, even though the "glue" is very good with this product. Putting tape around the edges of any patch is best. Especially, with the gel like patch that is the same version as this one, but with the menthol, that I would recommend for someone not experienced with patches. The patch will help you. But, you may have the same discomfort from the single ingredient of this patch, versus your current situation. Because, you may just transfer discomfort from your pain, to the pain-relieving patch. This ingredient blocks the perception of pain. But, may be distracting. So, if new to patches get the other version, and use 3M medipore cloth tape on the edges. Because, those patches are like a gel, and will peal away from the skin easily.

Strong Pads
It heats up really fast and may be a bit too strong for me. But my dad loves it because it helped eased his back pain and he kept ask me to get him more. I think it’s good for those who have old repeated deep back pain I guess…🤔

We love these Salonpas patches
My husband and I love these patches. We both have sciatica and hip issues and the heat from these patches helps tremendously. There is no menthol smell, they are easy to apply, last all day and stick well. Highly recommend

Awesome
These are great for my low back pain. Sometimes I'm desperate for relief when normal routine this arent working, and these have some serious heat and provide distraction for the area. One heads up is that if I lay down with it on it burns a bit too intensely. I end up taking it off when I've tried to do that. Very sticky and stays in place. Doesn't stick back on well if you try remove and reapply later.
