Lazarus Volume 4: Poison (Lazarus, 4)

I'm a huge DC fan and Marvel. I was looking for something different other than from the big 2. I started with Black Hammer and I was amazed by the story. This series came into my email as a book that I may like. So I tried it and I absolutely enjoy it. The story and world building has brought me in . This particular book "Poison" I believe will start a bloodbath. So, naturally I have to read book 5 now.

As with the previous story, these are fantastic! Dark and dynamic art compliments strong story arcs and fantastic action. The external struggles Forever face are balanced with her internal confusion, throwing her off balance. Her incredible power and talent clashes with the relative immaturity of her emotions and caused the confusion that drives her personal choices. This creates excellent tension in the plot.Another aspect that makes this story intriguing is the complex characters. No person is truly good or bad, but a realistic mix of both, as humans usually are. This gives richness to the narrative, and keeps the reader guessing as far as their true motives. Combined with action and intrigue, this creates a story that moves at a blistering pace.With a solid female lead character, multiple complex secondary ones, bloody action, twisting plot, and brilliant artwork, this is a must-read for any fans of multifaceted action stories. I’m eager for the next installment.

Caryle family suffer a big hit with there leader in a coma. They fight to take back what Hook has control over. Bloodly battles and tension in this book among power players. Book sets things up nicely. Very good read. Book keeps getting better

I agree with the five star reviews, but wish I'd waited and purchased vols 3 & 4 in  Lazarus: The Second Collection . The art is very detailed and the cursive-style lettering of diary entries would be easier to read in the larger format for my old eyes, plus the 'exclusive world-building content' would be a welcome addition given the complexity of the setting.

I haven't finished it yet, but from what I have, it just keeps getting better and better. Things are starting to come to a head in vol 4 and it's beyond addicting. I strongly recommend everyone pick up the first 3 volumes and delve into this intriguing world that Greg Rucka has created. The art is excellent and captures the grit and grime of this dystopian future. Highly recommend.

One of the best graphic sci-fi spionage and conspirancy novel around there today. The characters are very well builded and Rucka has really done the novel he wants. This is not a novel for young boys, maybe will be boring for them. If you know who are the authors, you know the kind of comic you have in your hands. 100% recomendable.

Loving the concept, story and art. The world seems very plausible if we dont get our act together, if not the lazarii heh!
