Very sturdy smooth rail for any sized tray
I needed a custom sized tray to make space for both a mouse, full keyboard, and little temporary space to jot notes, place smartphone, or any other temporary items that I need to take care of. Since I already had a stand-up keyboard stand made of solid wood that I wanted to re-use the top, I decided to purchase just the rails and get rid of the stand legs. This set of rails is smooth and sturdy, clicks when both pushed fully in and fully out. Since these are just rails, you can place them anywhere in almost any distance apart to fit custom sized trays. I put my 3/4" thick solid wood top that I re-purposed from the stand (it's slightly under 3 ft wide and 9" deep) and the rail can slide it without wobbling or shaking. The metal the rails and clamps are made of are solid and sturdy. The screws fit well and hold well. There are 3 holes and 3 screws for each rail but you only need 2 (choose the two that balance out the tray so it doesn't put too much pressure), I only used 2 wood screws per rail since my wood tray was only 9" deep and was placed slightly outward, and that still held well. Overall the assembly was easy, you just need a drill and a screwdriver for well-finished install.Perfect for custom sized keyboard trays.

Perfect for my Ikea desk
Decided to redesign my home office and purchased some shelves and a table top from Ikea to replace old computer desk. Unfortunately the hight of my new desk was a little too much so started looking for clamp on keyboard trays. unfortunatly almost all of the trays for sale were too long and would fit until I discovered the tray rails without the board.Directions and assembly were straight forward. Once I cut my board to my desired length, assembly took less than 15 mins with keyboard tray. As a word of caution... if you have a thick table top (mine is 1 -1/2") and use an average shelf board for your tray (mine was 5/8" thick)... you will have to flip the rails upside down when you mount them to the clamps. Otherwise the tray board will hang too close to the underside of your table top. Hoping that this product comes back in stock soon as I want purchase another key board rail kit for my other Ikea desk.Advantages:Sturdy product- no slipping of the clamp so far.Easy assembly with simple house hold tools ( screw driver/ drill)Custom fit as you decide what size tray will work for you.Clamps come with fitted rubber pads to on both sides of the clamp to prevent dents/ scratches.Disadvantages:Clamps are little bulky and unsightly both on top and from the bottom. The top of the clamp sits about 3/16" on top of your workspace. So if you cut your board to short you could have an annoying 2 lumps in your work space. Ref to picture. This is the reason why I gave the product 4 stars. There is always someone out there who wants to sizes and materials... so i'll share that for those who are interested.Desk:2x Ikeas Kallex shelfs units (30 3/8" x 30 3/8" x 15 1/2")1x Ikea Linnmon Table top (59" x 29 1/2" x 1 1/2")Dahle self healing cutting mat 24" x 36"Tray boardUsed an old particle board shelf that was cut to 21-1/2" x 11-1/2" x 5/8"

Sturdy, Works well!
Pros:It is nice to be able to put in your own size self. I do a lot of art and photo editing. Most trays don’t allow ample room for the keyboard and a mobile mouse. [I went to IKEA and bought a finished, firm shelving board for only $3! It did the trick!Cons: the top desk covers of the clamps sometimes get in the way of an uncluttered desk.Basically, I am very happy!

So far, so good
My (not very old) under the desktop keyboard tray broke. I found these rails without a tray, which would allow me to reuse the piece of wood from the old keyboard tray. This worked: I attached the new rails to the piece of wood of the old tray and got it st up on my desk. The new parts seem to be good quality, made of heavy metal. Putting it together wasn't a problem, but you do need a drill and space to assemble it.

Works great to make under desk keyboard (piano) holder
I used this along with a particle board/laminated type shelf to make an under the desk slide out keyboard/piano/midi controller holder. I had to put the screw brackets that screw into the board upside down to get more clearance but it works perfectly holding an Akai 49 key midi controller keyboard

Cheapest option to add a keyboard/mouse drawer!
My keyboard/mouse drawer broke on my wooden desk. My desk is a unique size and after realizing most, if not all keyboard drawers are the same size, I choose to use my broken one as the base and purchased these drawer slid brackets to make it good as new. I sawed off the sides of my old drawer and attached the brackets in under 5 minutes! The slides are very sturdy and smooth. I was worried that the clips used to attach the drawer to my desk would get in my way when I woprk, but since they are low profile, I barely notice that they are there. I highly recommend these brackets!
