Quite the curve
So have had this for around 1 week now and so far so good.Using it for mixed usage work and gaming. The curve is fine for what I do however it will be a factor for content creation. Took me a few days to get familiar with it.I do like the picture quality, no dead pixels and the coating is quite nice at dealing with reflections so the rated brightness is fine. The controls are a bit barebones although nice joystick to use them, I had to lower black equalizer to give me deep blacks. No flickering observed so far (using 6800xt GPU). The start up time for the screen seems a slight sluggish. The screen it 8bit however if the refresh rate is lowered to around 100 then 10bit is selectable however I don't have the tools to test if this makes any meaningful difference. The ports could have been a bit better from the 1 DP and 1 HDMI but overall I am ok with this. The viewing angles look ok from side to side, am sure the curve helps here however vertical is not that great. I am using a monitor arm so I can get around this however my understanding is that the stand does not have height adjustment so that could be an issue (I've not even used the stand). The styling is ok, but seriously Samsung there is not need to add go faster fake vents.I was considering 34inch 144hz budget options before I noticed this so decided to take a bit of a gamble and am happy so far.

Just got to love that curve
The screen curve is great allowing you to see the full screen without turning you head.It does have ghosting but I play RTS so it not that noticeable to me.Compared to the price of other screens it great value for money.

Defective and very poor
Samsung should be ashamed to sell this to the public. It would represent a pure ripoff at half the price. My unit was defective producing a trapezoidal distortion on screen. the scanned pixels narrowing towards the top and failing to reach the last 5 mm of physical screen before the bezel. No amount of manipulation of the display using the graphics card or the onscreen menu could fix this.Other issues colour rendition was poor producing an overall yellow cast to all colours. Bringing in HDR visibly flattened the onscreen contrast to the point that the image looked almost misty.Good points, it was fast and quick to react both qualities required in FPS type games.Overall I wholeheartedly recommend that you all should look elsewhere for that immersion experience this is the worst monitor I have ever had the pleasure to have known.

Fantastic Curved Screen
Great Screen quality and the curve works well with the immersive nature. It is my first curved screen and it does take a little getting used to.I have it setup duel input from my mac and work pc and it works great with a slight lag between screen splits.Other than that it has been a great experience.

3 Stars for now.....
**EDIT: Unable to resolve issues so retuned. Shame as you'd think a simple firmware update would but there seem to be similar issues across the Odyssey range.I moved from a 29" Ultra Wide (2560x1080) to this. At first it was like sitting in the front row of the cinema but after some tuning and a bit of time I got accustomed to it I noticed the curve less and less. Really like the 1000R curve but it comes with compromise. As other reviewers have suggested, the stand lacks adjustment, it’s also very flimsy and the VESA 75 fixings are recessed so I needed spacers. The black performance isn’t the best when compared to an IPS screen but in-use I didn’t really notice it. There is seemingly no firmware update for this model but there is for the 27 and 32 G5 – confirmed this with Samsung – why?.Even directly after a reboot and sat on the lock screen I have experienced flickering and static lines when running at 165Hz. This seems to get worse when using the ‘Fastest’ response setting (Display Port via RTX 3060) and occasionally the screen goes off all together for a second or two. However, running off a PS4 via HDMI I saw no flickering or static at all. Using the same source and Display Port cable on an LG HDR panel was fine, albeit running at 75Hz. Still discussing with Samsung……

Good screen
Happy with the screen, have noticed when using HDR via Windows dark areas can look weird however the colour quality without HDR is amazing and very good for the price

Awful QA and old display tech for an otherwise good concept
Samsung has had a lot of trouble with the QA of all their Odyssey series. Mine was humming very audibly every time it was turned on which caused me to return it. I loved the 1000R curve and found it to work brilliantly with the widescreen. But the screen itself had awful black smearing in games and flickering while watching low fps content.Samsung's support page doesn't even offer a firmware update whereas its non-ultrawide siblings have gotten it, this leads me to believe that Samsung wants to discontinue this monitor and I wouldn't recommend buying it
