I have a work bench that this seems like it was made for. I do a lot of pewpew work in my garage and wanted something to protect those finishes. This is a large gun mat, and with the detachable parts tray makes this super useful. The mat itself is thin so don't buy if your looking for a thick padded mat. It will do the job to protect your gear but I wouldn't throw or toss anything at it. My last Avid mat lasted years of abuse and it was approximately the same thickness. Avid makes a quality product with the images looking fresh and clear. Also the tray allows you to keep your high use items easily accessible and well organized. Easy to get up and running, just unroll and leave it for a few days. The end (without the tray) will take some time to flatten out. I stuck some magnets on my metal benchtop to help it along, but it still took several days. Great mat, high quality and large!

I bought these gun cleaning mats for my husband and he loves them. They are easily rolled to put in his duty bag to take them anywhere he wants. The magnet protects the springs and small parts from getting lost and the quality is great.

This mat is great, it rolls up really nice and then when you need to use it just un-roll and it lies flat with no issues what-so -ever. That alone is a major win as so many other mats would get the memory of being rolled up and not lie flat when time to use. Then in addition to that you have the tray on the end that holds tools or whatever you need which is amazing as it makes things much more organized and one of the trays has a magnetic which is another added benefit as it holds things in place. The mat is the perfect thickness, cleans up really easily and it a great size overall, not too small or too big! I would highly recommend if you are looking for a good gun cleaning mat or repair mat, you will not be disappointed if you purchase one that is for sure as the cost to what you get is an amazing value.

This mat isn't thick (1/4") but it does the job and rolls up very well. I live in an apartment and cleaned my weapon on the floor. No issues and kept the carpet from getting dirty. There is a nice red container at the end that holds all your little screws and what not. I was able to clean a weapon that is 42" in length. I kept the box to store the mat and is worth keeping as well as it keeps the mat from being dirtied. I don't think I would upgrade to a different mat as this is my first and think it works well for any application I may have in the future. Good price and durable.

Great mat. Perfect for maintenance.

Love this mat! I've had a dozen or so different cleaning mats over the years and this has quickly become my favorite. The material is sturdy yet soft not like those hard plastic coated mats or those cheap fuzzy mats that fray and end up a knotted sheet of lint balls that constantly get snagged, parts and pieces stay where you put them don't slide or roll around won't scratch or mar your firearms. This is the first cleaning mat that is actually the right size for rifles (16x43) those 12x36 mats just don't cut it. The soft rubber backing keeps the mat in place and protects whatever is underneath it. The attached parts tray is a nice touch and very useful even has a small magnetic tray for those important small parts. This is just a well made and well thought out product.

Great size to fit small and larger firearms, the oil resistance is there and leaves no marks of CLP on it at all. Nice little tray on the right, with a strong magnet for small pins, screws or keys for your trigger locks. I like the reminder on the top left hand side, reminding you about clearing your firearms before cleaning. Minor down side is I wish it came with a bag for storage/travel, I kept the box to store it in for now.

Utilsé pour protéger la surface de mon érabli lors du démontage, nettoyage et entretien d'armes longues. C'est la référence des protections pour cet usage. Très pratique.
