Best Yoke Yet
Glen is the man, knocked it out of the park with the flight yoke. This is a must have product for Star Wars A1up cabs, MAME cabs and ALU cabs, And its easy to install.

Worth the money. One of the best analog joysticks out there.
Installed this yoke controller onto my custom build arcade PC cabinet and the controller worked out of the box using a USB connection. Simple to install and instructions are easy to understand. It can be used as an analog joystick or as a mouse. It also has a power button to power it off if you plan to use other controllers with your gaming rig to avoid hardware conflicts. Word of caution: It is built like a tank and definitely heavier than the average joystick. The construction is top-notch.

High quality product, though a bit different feel than the arcade.
It's a well made, solid yoke with a lot of weight. The buttons are much clickier than I remember the arcade being, and the X-axis seems a good deal stiffer than the Y-axis, though I can't remember how this compares to the arcade yoke. Overall, it's a great controller, especially for the price. I'm using it with USB, which is the only cable I use - it's powered from that. At first, there was a dead zone in the X-axis, but I found I could adjust that in the .ini setting for that program, and it was fully responsive. I also like the fact that the internals are digital, rather than analog potentiometers, so it should last a long time. It's made to drop into a Star Wars vector arcade machine, I believe, so I had to custom make a stand and clamp it to the desk, which works well. Highly recommended!

Very nice but not as a replacement for Atari’s original
Very nicely made —but if you’re buying it as a replacement for the yoke on an original Atari Star Wars you will be disappointed by the feel of it. It plugs right in and works perfectly but in comparison to the original it feels lightweight in your hands and the triggers and buttons feel equally low rent. I’m sure compared to an Arcade1Up this is a vast improvement but for a classic machine you are going to want to spend the money to have your original controller refurbished.

Amazing Hardware!
Ok Glenn is a genius! This thing is heavy as an ox . Very sturdy piece of hardware. It was quite a challenge to get this thing fastened on my control desk! But still this thing is amazing! I would definitely recommend it. But perhaps invite a friend to help you fasten it to a control deck! Important note! I originally screwed it flat on my control it is impossible to maneuver in some/most games with it flat, so I had to angle it off the control deck by making a mount out of brackets and poplar wood!

Feels almost *exactly* like the original
Back in my wayward youth (early 1980s) I played this game an insane amount and I got very good at it. When I was 17 I put one token into the machine at my local arcade, put on some headphones, and didn't stop playing until they closed the place over four hours later. I had the high score of a little over 65 million on that machine. Fast forward to last year and I was pretty excited to get the Arcade1Up Star Wars machine - I really hadn't played this game since the late 1980s because arcades disappeared and while there are several very good emulators for Star Wars none of them played correctly because the yoke control from the original just wasn't something you can replace with a joystick or normal flight yoke. Believe me, I tried. Anyway, I just replaced the flight yoke that came with the Arcade1Up machine with this one and it is *awesome*. Seriously, this thing plays just like the original did. The Arcade1Up flight yoke is okay but it is too stiff in all directions. It's possible to play the game with the factory yoke (and it's waaaay better than anything else that I had tried in the last 30 years) but this one from GRS is PERFECT. All the muscle memory came back to me with this yoke and suddenly I was able to clear all the towers again without difficulty. Thank you so much for making this yoke - it's a truly wonderful reproduction!

Great Value and Quality
Glen's GRS flight yoke is an amazing product. Glen is known for his quality arcade products and the flight yoke doesn’t disappoint. The quality is a 10/10. The responsiveness and accuracy is a 10/10. He recommended an Atari sticker that I could put on it so it looked just like the Arcade 1up flight yoke. This product is built to mast a lifetime. With how arcade 1up is with their extra parts, I wouldn’t hold my breath with them ever making one available. If you want to be assured if the arcade 1up one ever breaks, this is a no brainer. I definitely recommend this product.

A must-buy for any arcade
This was such a fantastic addition to my arcade. The yoke is very accurate and feels like it is very well constructed. I am incredibly happy with this purchase. I built a removable mount that hooks on to my control panel and have a USB female socket extension cable in to the control panel to connect it. Be aware that mounting the bolts behind the yoke needs care so you don’t scuff the yoke with the screwdriver. The yoke needs calibration within the game you are playing. I do find that autocentering can make getting the joystick to recognize fine movements near the center go into a dead zone. I haven’t figured out how to fix this yet. I find using a spinner for Pole Position much more accurate (even after a number of attempted adjustments in the game). I have it in game pad mode.

Having loved the Star Wars vector arcade games since the 80s, i’ve never quite managed to get the same experience playing MAME versions with an arcade stick. The GRS flight yoke changes that… it’s a reassuringly heavy unit, which performs beautifully, to recreate the “arcade feel” of the original. So much, in fact, that I plan to construct a sit-in cabinet solely for the Star Wars games. USB plug and play allowed me to be playing immediately. Also works with lots of other games - Outrun, Afterburner, Marble Madness, Paperboy - Any game that requires an analogue control.

Bought this for project, quick test analogue axis feel good, the actual buttons (face and triggers) feel pretty bad, triggers feel very cheap/thin with annoying loud click, very slow if needing quick response. The face buttons on each grip are just mini sticks which just push down, poor implementation and just feel weird, should of used regular controller face buttons. This whole controller could do with a complete overhaul, more buttons and better quality buttons, analogue triggers and also needs a POV Hat (more than enough room), I am told by GRS they are working on an add on, but time would tell, should just redesign from group up and should also not pre apply the face sticker but include seperate as optional as its quite ugly and tacky.
