I bought this after reading the good reviews on here as my husband wanted a webcam with a narrower field of vision than mine but all I can say is the people who wrote the reviews either have a different webcam from the two Depstech webcams I purchased, received and returned to Amazon or wanted the monetary reward offered for a qualifying review.This is a genuine review based on the first Depstech webcam, a D011-1 (that shows up under a completely different name by the OBS camera software).The field of vision looks to be more than the 90 degrees advertised and the image quality is really poor since it is incredibly grainy; certainly not 2K or something you want to stream on zoom even on the highest camera setting available.The sound on the D11-1 2020 DEPSTECH 2K HD wasn’t acceptable as it picked any background sound in particular the sound of the fan on my PC so you couldn't set it up on top of the monitor, instead you needed had to place it as far away from the PC as the lead would allow, which was a problem for me as this webcam doesn’t have the ability to work with a tripod and would not sit still sitting on the desk.As recommended on the Depstech site, I downloaded OBS Studio to enable me to adjust the camera settings. It turns out OBS software has nothing to do with Depstech but is an open-source app that works with any webcam you might wish to use with it. Sadly, the webcam did not respond sufficiently to changes in the settings for there to be any worthwhile improvements over the original grainy picture and, as neither Windows Camera nor the settings in Zoom were able to do anything to improve the quality, I had to return it to Amazon as a complete disappointment. Not at all impressed with Depstech webcams especially after I tried the second Depstech webcam the image of which was just as bad.

The media could not be loaded.  I've never purchased a webcam before, having used only my computers camera throughout lockdown. As I am doing more podcasts and interviews, I wanted to step up my game; I just didn't have the budget.The camera arrived within a couple of days and clipped to the top of my screen. One aspect I'd not considered before was using it as a handheld instead of being clipped on; the USB lead is long enough to make it possible without feeling you're going to be yanked back at any second. It allowed me to set it up on a separate standing tripod.The quality, to my eye, matches my iPhone X quality. It's hard to judge properly because there is no lighting, so anything past dusk without a proper lighting set-up won't give the best picture i.e. relying on ceiling lights. But that's filming anyway, isn't it?I use a separate mic with processor so I can't say too much about the mic quality. It is clear but obviously it is inbuilt, so it's always going to sound more distant than a separate mic. But if you're using for Zoom calls or interviews, it is good. It's clear.I am so happy I made this choice. Obviously if my budget increases, I'll upgrade. The exception now is that I will take longer to do this as I can see this doing me for broadcast quality interviews and face-to-face for some time to come.

Complete waste of time and effort each week trying to get this thing working.----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ORIGINAL----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Not a bad camera for the price, a little hassle though (see bottom for overall conclusion).PRO’s- Quality of the image is okay with mediocre 30fps,- Camera imagine is detailed,- It does support 2k though I believe this is upscaled from 1080p and as far as I’m aware, can only be achieved through 3rd party software like OBSCON’s- Around 75% of the time the camera isn’t picked up by my PC, to fix this I either have to unplug and try again or uninstall the device via device manager. A little frustrating when trying to urgently start calls,- Camera is detailed but the image isn’t very sharp, this may be something I as a user am doing wrong with an incorrect configuration but I’m not sure.I cannot comment on the microphone as I have not, and do not plan to, use it.CONCLUSIONIt’s an okay piece of kit if you’re looking for something quick and cheap and don’t mind the occasional hassle of troubleshooting it not be recognised by your computer. Would recommend provided they aren’t all like mine and work 100% of the time.

This webcam is nicely designed on the hardware side although is lacking in some areas. the webcam would greatly benefit from some sort of light and images are very dark and can pick out detail very well. despite this the camera does the job well considering the price.

Took a little time understanding how it mounts but other than that it was great. Does the job. good camera quality and audio. Exactly what is needed for meetings and personal use.

The camera quality is outstanding and has made our virtual meetings so much easier, they are easy to install too.

The media could not be loaded.  Camera arrived and within seconds I was using it due to the quick 'plug & plug'. No driver installs were needed. Very happy with the clarity, I wont go into technicalities whether is it truly 2k or not (hard to prove either), but surely much clearer and better than 1080p. Wide coverage and mic works brilliant too.
