Marshall Small Animal Bear Rug, 24 by 20 Inches, Fleece Bed and Tunnel Toy for Ferrets and Other Small Pets

***UPDATE***What a disappointment! I hardly EVER go back and edit a review but I felt this time it was necessary. I originally rated this bear rug as 3 stars but since only having it about a week I had to change the rating.Here is why. With most ferret products, the need to clean and wash their stuff is a necessity. I wash everything pretty much weekly and for it's first washing for this rug I had to get out my vacuum. I should have taken pictures of the aftermath! The Marshall Small Animal Bear Rug pretty much fell apart, and when I mean fell apart, the "fur" acted as if water was an acid, each tiny strand of fiber that made up the fur came out and GOT EVERYWHERE! thousands of tiny little strands coated my washer, and the other ferret items (fleece blankets, hammocks, and hideouts). I wash in warm water on gentle so it's not like it was being beat against a rock. Every item I took out had hundreds of fibers/strings on them. I got my vacuum and had to use the hose to suck up the strands before I started drying them. Once each item was "de-stringed" I had to literally use the hose to suck up the fibers/strings from the inside of my washer. Absolutely Ridiculous! A closer look at the Marshall Small Animal Bear Rug where the "fur" came off, it looked as if the construction was simply fibers folded over strings, once those fibers were gone and all over everything else, the rug seemed to almost tear in half like a 10 year old wash cloth that you can see through that was on it's last leg. I had to carefully fold it and trash it, and even then I had to vacuum the path that I walked to the garbage to pick up the trail if left behind. VERY Disappointed!If you get it, don't wash it!**Original Review with 3 Stars**Titled "Ferrets not to thrilled"I suppose I should have asked the question if it's somewhat stuffed. I thought that the head of the bear would have been stuffed or something due to the way the photo looks. I received the bear rug and it does indeed look like the picture, but the photo is a little deceiving in the fact that it only really lays flat like a fleece blanket. My ferrets weren't overly excited and also don't spend too much time playing in or on it. If you have a big cage then I can see it being used inside to sleep on however I wouldn't recommend putting it in a smaller cage.

Unfortunately, this bear looks great, but is a little flat, so my ferret just lays on top of it. I don't blame him much either because the outside is warm and fuzzy, while the inside is the slicker backing material for the fuzzy outside. If the material were just as fuzzy on both sides, this might've been a much better bedding product. The holes at the ends of the arms and legs of the bear are also a bit small for all but little kits. My ferret is four months old and can just barely fit out of the mouth. He does use it as a place to lie down to eat his treats though.

This is so cute! I almost didn’t get it because it looked a bit small. It is NOT! My ferret loves this! All the paws have openings, as well as the mouth. She has a great time and sleeps in!

This bear rug is well made and my hedgehog loves it! There is a split in the middle of it's back from one side to the other. I chose to sew it halfway because it is too large of a split for a hedgehog, probably not true for a ferret. VERY CUTE!

My ferret loves this so much, it was washed frequently and I think that is why it has freyed after 9 months.

I have 3 ferrets, and they all love to sleep on the bear. I have all different kinds of hammocks in the cage, but the bear is their favorite, so I keep two of them in cage. It's good quality. I wash it the machine on delicate program and never had any problem with it.

My ferret liked this at first, then lost interest, though I kept putting it in his cage. Yesterday when I washed it, it fell apart, and you can't have a ferret item that can't stand up to repeated washing. No other item has had this happen.

Poor quality very expensive for what you get

Ferrets do like, but as with any Marshall product, dreadfully expensive.

Excelente producto, llego antes de tiempo... Definitivamente un producto hecho de calidad, a mi huroncito le encanta, 100% recomendado, esta padrisimo el diseño.

Par contre mes cochons d'inde l'adorent. Il serait bien de faire le même dans un modèle plus grand. Je trouve ce produit cher quand même.
