Stout Tool, but.....
These Pliers are very big boys and they did work to remove a snap ring that broke 4 other sets of pliers. One issue, however, is that the tips are facing the wrong way. When I was cranking on them to remove the huge snap ring off my truck, they would keep slipping off. I could reverse the tips, but then they wouldn't close in close enough together to completely compress the snap ring. The other issue is that one of the screws rounded out when I tried to remove it and now I have to drill it out. Otherwise, these are beefy tools that work well. Just need to make some modifications and understand that you bought a bargain set of Pliers. I'm sure if you bought them off "The Truck" , They'd work perfectly, but also cost 4-5 times as much..

If you remove and rebuild turbos or other larger assemblies, you need these.
Just what I needed to remove center cartridge from turbo charger very stubborn worked excellent. I broke two smaller pairs and they didn’t even budge the circle clip. You need these heavy duty ones. They got the job done quickly and safely.

Great large snap ring pliers
Excellent quality and works with very large snap rings. Very nice case to store them in. Makes removal of large snap rings simple.

Much better quality than expected, and considering the price for this set, one of the best buys you can make. Makes me regret not getting these months ago.

The locking mechanism makes it super easy to remove snap rings.
These SNAP ring pliers work really well. The locking mechanism is a game changer. I've been struggling to remove snap rings on my Side by Side spindles for years. Great value.

Ok but teeth in ratcheting mechanism wear out quickly.
I have used this for a dozen or so large external snap rings on a backhoe. I rate it at a 3 because the teeth in the ratcheting mechanism wear too fast and now the one tooth that needs to engage for the snap ring size I am using is worn off and no longer engages.
