The end of an amazing series.
I can’t believe its over! I am so sad that the Ultimate series has come to an end, but I am so happy how it ended. I. Can. Not. WAIT. Until I can read the Body Armor series and get updates.Lori Foster, as always, has taken me away into her world so seamlessly that I nearly cry when I have to stop reading and do real life things like sleep. Fighting Dirty was the book that I was most looking forward to. I was literally arguing with myself not to skip through major sections of book 2 and 3, which I absolutely LOVED by the way, in order to get to Armie and Rissy’s story faster. I held out and read them all the way through with a smile on my face. I’m honestly surprised I was able to read this book all in one day due to the fact that its nearly impossible to keep my eyes open when I am squealing. Read this book. Read this series! Don’t skip, no matter how much you want to, it will be worth the suspense. I truly hope you enjoy Armie and Rissy’s story as much as I did. Body Armor series, here I come. Happy Reading!

Very good
~3.5-4/5It’s been a while since I’ve read any of Foster, since the last couple weren’t very good. I needed a break. But now it seems that she’s gotten back to her high point, and I really enjoyed this one. I missed these books.I didn’t expect this to be so connected to her earlier SBC series, but I loved getting to see those characters again. That was fun.Armie has always been best friends with Merissa’s older brother, and she’s had a crush on him for years now. But he’s always thought of her as off limits, and he’s never thought of himself as good enough. Merissa decides that she’s going to go for it, and she doesn’t let him back out easily.I enjoyed their chemistry, and it was fun seeing them forming a solid relationship. She is relentless, and he wants her, and it’s obvious. She doesn’t let him back off, because she wants him and she knows he’s just denying it to protect her. I liked how understanding but strong she stayed about the whole subject, accepting him and pushing only when it was needed. The smut was good, too. And it was fun seeing that even her brother was happy about it, and how their friends were ready to protect if needed. The serious plot point was actually quite interesting, and I liked how it turned out and was revealed.I’m looking forward to reading both Denver’s story and Leese’s story next. I’m excited for more.[More of my reviews are available on my blog, Geeky Reading, to which there's a link on my profile.]

Romance in the Classic is Always Delivered
I loved every minute of it. Lori never lets you down. I look for stories of what is common to most people. These are everyday people living their lives in process of making them better. I love the idea of keeping community in each story she has written. Most of them deal with trouble kids or characters who have live some type of troubled lives. In this story the idea of the brothers best friend is admired by his little sister is the classic story of the coming of age of a first love you never forget. As Merissa grows up she never forgets the bad boy that stole her heart. The fearless Arime finds he isn't afraid of anything but the possibility of losing what he protects the most, his heart. Loris stories always surrounds the main characters with a good support system of friends. The bounds of friendships run deep amoung them and makes for a rewarding tale, not to mention the hot and romantic love scenes that follow all of her books. As all good romance they end well and its the classic fairytale of happily ever after, something most of us remember from childhood of the princess gaining the love of her prince. I have read several works of romance but Lori's is one I always come back too.

#4 in the series
No Spoilers! Contemporary romance with smoking hot protected sex. #4 in the series & the last book in this series. LF hits it out of the ball park! This is Armie & Rissy's story & it's great. The action is non stop & we get the back story on Armie & Rissy. The bad guys are over the top bad. I like that even though Armie is a man whore, he actually is celibate for a while before making an attempt at a relationship with Rissy. They make a wonderful couple. The dialogue is pretty much spot on & we don't get a single "doll" or "dollface"!!!!!!! :) There are some appearances from Jude, Simon, Dean & Harley. The only thing is they are teasers. We know that they are all still married, but not if they have families or anything else about their lives. Disappointing. The next series focus is on the lower tier of fighters : Leese, Brand, Miles & Justice. Of all of them, Leese is probably the most interesting. I'll probably be checking out his book.

Didn't want it to end!
This was the best of four exceptional books. The humour had me chuckling out loud whilst I wondered where I could get my own Armie! Great series to read.
