Great value for money - no need to buy M5
Great product. Super easy to install. I already had a deco setup in another house, so I already had the app. You just plug one of the units in the modem and follow the steps of the app. Within 30 minutes you have a mesh wifi setup that gives a very strong signal.

Seamless, faster and stable router.... Works Awesome
It's been a week that I am using the router, initial feedback is , it’s a cake walk to setup the router , I have ACT fibernet ac internet service provider, had D-Link DIR-825 as modem supporting 200 mbps BW, though I read that M4 can support PPPOE, I was not confident that it can replace the existing router , but it did, all that you need to do is download the deco app, rest it does it itself, one drawback is that its not allowing to provide username and password under PPPOE , rather it directly connected and got a dynamic public IP and it allowed to open actcorp.in , where we have to provide username and password once, setup is done and M4 is able to directly connect to internet, it will ask for the second unit and you just power on the second one, it will auto detect and form a slave and configures mesh, enable seamless roaming option, you are done…And all these took just 5 mins, wow what an experience!!!, works perfectly and covers a duplex house of 2400 Sqft to every nook and corner, internet access speed and performance is superb!!, I am experiencing at least a 3x times (real 200 Mbps BW utilization) , since then till date its pretty consistent , stable and performing cool. Tested with at least 6 streaming simultaneously ( fire TV, 3 mobile phones, 3 laptops) never seen a lag, while its bit high on cost, but totally justified, especially during COVID time, WFH< online classes for children etc makes it a perfect choice to choose different places at home ( which was a biggest problem earlier ) for all of us to access internet at the same time.It has WPS option, and its cool to connect any WPS capable devices/clients to the deco M4. Apart from this, we can setup priority for any particular device, parental control, allows blocking of any suspicious device connected to your NW ( with a password compromise may be), it also has a guest wifi feature where it allows you to selectively on and off and with shake of a phone, it gives you an option to share the credentials over WhatsApp etc , this is cool feature where you may not want to share your SSID password to any guests and also control their access if required.Another good feature is it auto picks the frequency between 2.4 and 5 Ghz based on the device/client capability and distance to the nearest router/access point.Sleek design makes it look good in the home , so far it's been a great experience, loving it , not seen any cons/downside so far.

Good Coverage but Average Performance
The TP-Link Deco M4 Whole Home Mesh Wi-Fi System offers decent coverage for medium-sized homes, providing a reliable Wi-Fi signal throughout. The seamless roaming feature works well, allowing devices to switch between nodes without noticeable drops in connection. Setting it up is straightforward, and the app interface is user-friendly, making it easy to manage settings and parental controls. However, while it advertises AC1200 speeds, the actual performance can be inconsistent, especially in larger homes or with multiple devices connected. Some users might experience slower speeds during peak usage times. Compatibility with Amazon Echo and Alexa is a nice bonus, but some features may require additional setup. The build quality feels average, and the design is somewhat basic. Overall, the TP-Link Deco M4 is a functional mesh Wi-Fi system that provides good coverage for the price, but users looking for high-performance streaming or gaming might want to explore higher-end options.

Great Product
In my opinion, best-in-class Wifi mesh device within this budget. Easy to configure and setup. Super easy to add more nodes to an existing network. Reboot device and optimize network are very handy features and help improve speeds. However there is no need to optimize network daily. A periodic check is advisable.Fast Roaming is a great feature which allows devices to switch between nodes seamlessly. Overall very satisfied with the product and would highly recommend it.

Deco Mesh Device: Started Well but Turned into a Frustrating Experience – Waste of Money
I wanted a mesh network for my home and office to avoid switching between multiple networks. After researching online, I found Deco to be an economical option and decided to give it a try. Initially, the product worked amazingly well for the first three months. However, after that, the second device started causing issues. The internet would disconnect frequently, and I initially thought the problem was with my ISP. But when I connected directly to the ISP modem, the internet worked perfectly fine. The issue only occurred when connected to Deco's second device, where the internet would go on and off randomly, sometimes going offline for no reason. I tried every solution I could find online, but nothing worked. This is the second trash product from TP-Link that has wasted my money. They seem to be producing cheap, low-quality products. If you’re looking for a reliable mesh network, I’d suggest investing in a higher-quality device that fits your budget. Don’t make the same mistake I did.

Its compact design blends into any room without looking out of place. For the price, it’s an excellent choice for anyone looking to upgrade to a reliable and affordable mesh Wi-Fi system.
