DJI Mini 2 – Ultralight and Foldable Drone Quadcopter, 3-Axis Gimbal with 4K Camera, 12MP Photo, 31 Mins Flight Time, OcuSync 2.0 10km HD Video Transmission, QuickShots Gray

The video is amazing. Even on the windiest days the video is smooth and crisp. The RTH (Return To Home) feature is phenomenal and with the Mini 2 using OcuSync I’ve flown 8 miles away without losing signal. OcuSync is why I chose the Mini 2. With a wifi connection you can only venture out a mile or two. But if you travel too far and it loses connection it immediately returns home. It’s compact but not too small. It weighs 249g so just under the required weight to need a license (250g) However, some states require you to certify online so check your state’s requirements for UAVs (Unmanned Aircraft Vehicles) or RPAs (Remotely Piloted Aircrafts). TRUST (The Recreational UAS Safety Test) can be done online for free. I’ve had several drones and this one is hands down THE BEST I have owned. The aircraft and remote control were easy to set up and connect. My only tiny gripe would be the way the controller holds an iPhone which ends up right on the power button or volume buttons requiring the phone to be pushed way off to the side but that’s sooo minor compared to all the great things about this drone. The controller can be set up to charge your phone while using. Suggestion: Pay attention to your battery consumption on the drone. Sport mode consumes more battery. Once I was flying at night and didn’t realize how far away it was. It had to do an emergency landing because it couldn’t make it back. The app gave me the map and directions to its exact location where I found my little guy in the middle of a field. Thank God!! Wonderful app. Wonderful drone. Couldn’t be happier with this drone!! Still exploring all its possibilities!

The DJI Mini 2 is an impressive entry-level drone that has truly exceeded my expectations as a first-time buyer. Firstly, its ultralight and foldable design makes it incredibly portable. Weighing in at just 249 grams, I can easily slip it into my backpack without any hassle. The compact size doesn’t compromise its performance; it unfolds quickly and is ready to fly in seconds, which is perfect for spontaneous adventures. The 4K camera with a 3-axis gimbal is a standout feature. The video quality is stunning, capturing crisp and clear footage that rivals more expensive drones. I love how stable the shots are, even in slightly windy conditions. The 31-minute flight time is also impressive, allowing me to enjoy extended flying sessions without constantly worrying about battery life. Using the DJI Fly app has been a breeze. It’s user-friendly and packed with features that make flying and capturing footage simple, even for a beginner. I appreciate the various shooting modes available, which help me get creative with my shots. The digital zoom is a nice touch, although I’ve found it’s best used in good lighting conditions. One thing to keep in mind is that the Mini 2 lacks obstacle avoidance sensors, which means I have to be cautious when flying in tighter spaces. However, this has encouraged me to be more adventurous and try maneuvers I might not attempt with a larger drone. Overall, the DJI Mini 2 has been a fantastic purchase. It’s lightweight, easy to use, and delivers impressive video quality, making it a perfect choice for anyone looking to dive into the world of drones. I’m excited to explore more with it and capture breathtaking aerial views!

This is my first drone. The drone itself is great, but getting it ready to fly had some problems. No owners manual is sent. A manual is sent with one sentence in English about downloading an app that you need to fly the drone. It also says to hit the “Academy “ button to see videos about getting started. I don’t think the videos are that great. They move too fast and seem to skip some steps. It is hard to stop the video every time you want to do something and then restarting just to have to stop again. Found out that when you first download the app you can go way to the bottom of the video list and find a manual that you can download. The manual is better but not great. I was disappointed in the fact that in the video it says the drone comes with a strap to hold the propeller blades secure while transporting. No strap. I was also expecting a charging unit for the batteries instead you get a cord that you can plug into the drone with a phone charging unit. You can’t fly the drone while you are charging it. I ended up ordering a charging unit and an extra battery so I could start charging a battery while flying a second battery. Flying the drone is very easy. It is amazing that you can raise the drone up and take your hands off the controls and will it stay in place until the battery runs out or you land it. My son and I took the drone up, aimed the camera, and set it to record as we played a game of cornhole. It took us about 15 minutes and the drone did not move. The video was sharp and did not waver even though we had some wind. The videos and pictures are outstanding. I have only had the drone for a couple of weeks and I have a lot more to learn about the camera capabilities. I haven’t flown the drone out a long way yet, but is supposed to get out at least a couple of miles. This is one of the reasons I ordered this drone. I see one YouTube video that flew it out 4 miles and back. So far I am very happy with this drone.

Já usei, recomendo. É um drone valente, aguenta vento e tem uma estabilidade maravilhosa. Com muito vento a bateria não dura muito, mas em condições meteorológicas boa, dá pra chegar a uns 18 minutos de voo. Chegou muito rápido e vale a pena a compra. O lado ruim é pq não tem nota fiscal.

El DJI mini 2 es un buen dron lo recomiendo para principiantes pero ojo, no tiene sensores de colisión asi que recomiendo tenerlo siempre a la vista nunca volar muy cerca de obstáculos ni personas ya que puede chocar con todo si no se tiene cuidado lo bueno es que graba en 4k a 30 fps y hace buenas fotos, su estabilidad con el viento es bastante buena y tiene retorno a casa por si hay alguna emergencia por lo demás no esta nada mal para empezar ya que la relación calidad precio es buena pero si quieres un dron mas pro y con sistema mas avanzado este no es el tuyo.

I can't even explain how impressed I am with this thing. I went almost half a kilometer in the air, and about a kilometer away, over trees in a dense forest, and it still had full signal strength. The way this thing handles wind is very impressive. It's like there's no wind at all. It's SO EASY TO FLY. Great for beginners in every way. And the video quality... OMG! I am so happy with this purchase. And because it's under 250g (it weighs in at 241g for me), I don't have to register it with Transport Canada. But you'll still need the appropriate pilot certificate ($10 and very easy test for basic, this allows you to fly 400m high, and as far as you want, as long as you can maintain line of sight. Not allowed to fly over people or events with basic).

Not much to dislike. My only real issue with these drones is that you cannot set gps co-ordinates for the drone to fly to. I use it to check things like water points and gates on the ranch and it would be great to be able to send it to a designated point rather than actually "flying" it there. Simple software really. Battery life is ok, camera fine, range of the wi/fi is fine for what what it is, a relatively cheap toy that can serve a useful purpose.
