Pimsleur Portuguese (European) Level 1, Lessons 1-5: Learn to Speak and Understand European Portuguese with Pimsleur Language Programs

Very limited number of this European one. Go for Brazilian. Plus the two people in this one finish all their sentences with a whistle. All European Portuguese do not speak like kettles. Brazilian one is much better and clearer

I find Pimsleur courses to be excellent, and the 30 unit 15 hours of European Portuguese is a fantastic way to start learning a very difficult language. They are not the quickest to move through material, but far more will penetrate your unconscious mind than with other courses. Returning to it after some time, I was really surprised how many of the phrases just came readily out of my mouth!The recordings use both male and female native speakers, who speak clearly and authentically. To sound authentic yourself, your mouth will have to work hard. Knowledge of Spanish, Italian or French is advantageous for vocabulary - as they all share common roots in Latin - but those languages are all much easier to pronounce, with the possible exception of French.I recommend this recording, and all Pimsleur recordings, as their learning techniques, reinforcing words just as they leave your conscious attention, seem to create deep memory of the language that I haven't found in other courses.
