My 9 year old son and the 8 year old neighbor boy have had quite a bit of fun trying to emulate the advanced domino runs they see on Youtube videos. They have learned a few lessons along the way about patience!It takes a long time to set up long runs, and can be really frustrating if you knock it over before you mean to. They have learned to avoid certain areas of our living room floor that are uneven. They have learned to leave gaps every so often so an accidental fall is not going to make the whole thing run. They have had a lot of good conversations while setting up, and they have learned that things aren't always as easy as they look on social media. I have had a lot of fun setting up runs with my kids as well. It's pretty tough for my 5 year old (he is pretty coordinated) but he likes making shorter runs. With 4 of us working ,we have never had the discipline to set up a run with all of the pieces in this set, so I would say tis is plenty for most people :) The specialty pieces are a lot of fun. Stairs that climb up and down, cylinders that roll, pieces that spin... our only complaint is that the bell is VERY quiet. We wish there was a nice loud bell to ding at the end of the run! It would be much more gratifying! Overall I think that is a great set. Especially if parents are willing to get on the floor and spend some quality time with kids. But remember: they will get mad at you if you accidentally knock the whole thing over. Go into with a mindset for modelling and encouraging grace and patience :)

The media could not be loaded. This product was bought for my sons 5th birthday and honestly has my 7 and 11 year olds just as entertained. There are plenty of dominos for all of us to play and set up at once. Quality was excellent also. We have had maybe 3 dominos that don't stand up so far, but the rest are sturdy and small. The carrying bag it came with is perfect and a lifesaver since they do not all fit back in the original box once they are unwrapped. I would definitely recommend this product! I did not like the thought of spending so much on dominos that I was not sure if they would keep my sons attention long enough , but money well spent.

I bought these for my 5 year old son and his cousins. There are 10 different colors and packaged by color so you aren’t at the mercy of 1,000 wooden dominos at once; you can open 100 at a time which is genius.The dominos are smaller (less than 2 inches long, 1 inch wide and 1/4th of an inch thick) and lighter than standard ones but perfect for little kids. Of course some of them aren’t perfect and a small handful of them have imperfections but a small handful is pretty good considering there are 980 perfectly good dominos. They also come with a few fun wooden toys such as a windmill, steps, ramps, etc to add to the fun.It comes with a red, square reusable bag with handles that measures 18 inches long by 18 inches wide and it fits most of the pieces. The only thing I wish it had was a zipper.

My son and I were so excited to receive this item. We had been watching domino videos for awhile and he decided he wanted to try and build some too, he is six years old. We ordered same day Delivery and it came quickly and well packaged.1000 doesnt sound like a lot but when looking at this package you deffinetly get your money's worth!. The packaging was amazing, all the dominos are color coded and sealed nicely. The extra contraptions are really neat, and the back of the box shows you how to use each. It even came with a neat tote bag to hold everything in.I would deffinetly recomend this, if you are debating between the lower cost ones, they dont compare with the sheer number of items you receive with this one.My son decided to only open two colors of the dominos for now, while he gets use to using the neat contraptions, eventually we will gradually be adding in all the other colors!

Given the price for this huge batch of colorful dominoes, it's hard to find anything to complain about (yet people do). The colors are nice and sharp, the finish is good, and the included cloth bag is a really nice addition. Also, the added little pieces (like steps and blocks) make it even more fun to lay out a huge pattern with fun little deviations in it. Are there better ones out there - sure...but given these will probably get beat up and lost over time, the price makes them a fantastic value proposition.
