Great for chili, salads....
We have many recipes in our rotation that include beans, and red kidney beans are a favorite. I like to keep cans in the cabinet because they are fast and easy - and the S&W folks have the lower sodium version we need to keep salt intake within accepted parameters 😁. I also love that the S&W folks have a process that keeps kidney beans their lovely red color - something I have not figured out how to do myself when cooking dry beans - and fresh are so rarely available. Plus, those who know recommend keeping canned foods for your first level power outage emergency stash - which we have needed the past two years - as they don't require water like dried beans do - something ELSE that goes when the power is out in our location. I still keep and cook dried beans, but we use these when speed, color, or simply a small portion are required, for all types of salads, color in chili, and just tossed with bacon and onion as a side dish. I was very happy to be able to order them in a case flat at a reasonable cost. Saves me the effort of getting them at the grocery, and when secured in the flat case they arrive intact and not all beaten up. It is amazing how quickly these disappear into dishes when we have them handy in the cabinet!

The Best Kidney Beans for Delicious Chili!
For years I've been using S&W low sodium Kidney Beans in my chili recipe. Can I say it always turns out great. The beans themselves are very sturdy and withstand 3 hours of cooking on high in the crock pot. They taste creamy and delicious as you bite into them. With cheddar cheese, sour cream and some sliced green onions this chili can't be beat. You owe it to yourself to use beans this good. Low sodium beans are great without too much salt! So if your diet requires you to eat low-salt foods, you won't have to sacrifice any flavor!!!~The Rebecca Review

The can is filled with half water. Lousy product water ratio. Do not buy. Fiercely over priced.
