Shapley's Magic Sheen Hair Polish, 1-Quart

I love this stuff. My horse is a total pig who, if he can't find mud to stand around in and coat himself, will make mud. Yecch. His hocks, his fetlocks, and his tail were constantly super nasty. It's too cold where I live to be washing my horse in the late fall, winter, and early spring, and so I was looking for a product that would help me keep the ook out of his hair. Show-Sheen has the reputation for drying out hair with long-term use, so I didn't want to use that. I was at the Equine Affaire looking for products that would help, and decided to get advice from the Gypsy Vanner breed reps - they turned me on to Magic Sheen. I've been using it for three years, and it hasn't dried out my horse's mane or tail in the least. It keeps his tail comb-able when I can't wash it, and it cuts down on static buildup in his mane. I also spray his hocks and fetlocks generously, and it cuts down nicely on the amount of crud that builds up there too. It's a staple in my grooming bag, and I wouldn't do without it.

I purchased this and it came damaged the product leaked out the box was soaking wet and ruined. But the seller was quick to send a replacement , this is a great product for horses mane and tail. I highly recommend this product ant the price is very reasonable.

I normally use cowboy magic or laser sheen for coat polish for my two horses, but those products can be kind of pricey. After I used Shapley's MTG and saw great results, I decided to try this product since it costs less than the other products I normally use. It works great! My paint mare was covered in dirt, hay dust and loose shed hairs and I simply sprayed this over her, let it dry and it all wiped clean very easily. Works just as well as the more expensive stuff and smells even better. It repels dirt just as well, my mare stayed clean for almost a week with minimal brushing. Makes their coats very soft and silky too. Just an overall great product, I've recommended it to all my horse friends.

I have two dirty mustangs that love to roll in mud, dirt and poop. Meanwhile I enjoy a clean saddle and long thick manes and tails. I bought this instead of the shapleys light oil no.1. It leaves them very soft and definitely wicks always the dirt, but if you want something heavy duty get the oil. I will say I prefer this on the mane and tail as it is not thick and heavy. For the body I would prefer an oil.

My German Shepherd Dogs coat is sooo soft and her coat shedding is much easier to groom.

Good value and goes on smooth!

I use this on my wigs. it works, however it does leave a scent that is not really pleasing. Especially after it builds up when you keep using it for a few days. It does work wonders on the knots where the wig rubs your neck. The smell keeps me looking for an alternate product.
