Great iron!
I only took away a star because it’s easy to hit the temperature control feature which can be inconvenient when ironing linen. Otherwise a solid 4.5 stars. Heavy enough to get the most difficult creases and wrinkles out. My ironing time has easily been cut in half.

Stays on! Steams great, but drips
I sew a lot. I despise irons that turn off after 8 minutes. I hate waiting for them to heat back up just because I was away at my sewing machine for 8 minutes then need to press a seam and my iron isn't ready, wasting my time. I am a responsible person and don't need a nanny to protect me. This singer iron I believe will go kind of dormant after about 30 minutes but you can turn it back on easily by just tipping it over to use it and you don't have to wait for it to reheat. And it turns off quickly if it is knocked over.It steams wonderfully, however if you are working on fabrics that cannot have water droplets on them this iron will need to be used dry. Water drips from the steam that accumulates under the cap where you add water to the reservoir. Then it leaks onto the handle and down onto the fabric. I work mostly with cotton, so drips aren't a concern, just an annoyance. However someone working on, for instance, Bridal fabric won't want water droplets. It is not a lightweight iron, it has the heft to it that seemstresses and quilters desire for pressing. The non-stick sole plate is really nice. The only thing I would have them improve is the gray plastic housing for the water reservoir is translucent, not transparent, and it is hard to tell how much water you are putting into the reservoir. It comes with its own little pitcher, but sometimes when I'm having a sewing marathon I want to bring in more water to top it off instead of waiting for it to go dry. On occasion when I am actually physically moving it while I iron it will turn off for some unexplained reason. Thankfully it has little pinging noises for when you turn it on, change the temperature, or it turns off. In this instance all you have to do is touch the on button and it goes right back to temperature. I have had irons in the past where you could bypass that cursed Auto off feature, two Rowentas ($$$) and both within 3 years or so died in a pool of water on the ironing board. I replaced them with a Velocity ($$$$) , which I absolutely loved, but you have to hock your first child to afford them. So this Singer is a great tool for me. Oh, and the cord is reeeealy long which is helpful. When you have a dedicated sewing studio you have many devices that need outlets and they aren't all placed close enough for the device in question! The long cord solves that problem for me.I would suggest this for a quilter.

Nice for quilters and all day sewing. Singer got it right!
I love my SINGER SteamLogic Steam Iron, 7061. Because I sew and quilt a lot, I wanted an iron that would stay on as long as possible. This one stays on for 30 mins before shutting off and that’s so much better than some that shut off after 8 minutes! Like other reviewers, I love the 10 foot cord and I wish the water tank was easier to see the level, but I can work with that. My biggest beef with a lot of the new irons are the automatic vertical steam— as a quilter, I hated getting a face full of steam when I set the iron up when finished pressing! Ugh! This one doesn’t do that, yeah! It does have vertical steam, but only on demand— as it should be. The temperature dial is on the handle and I have accidentally turned it down a notch sometimes when pressing, but it beeps so I know it happened and I turn it back up.I love the weight of the iron and the steam amount is perfect for pressing large pieces of fabric. It doesn’t spit and make a mess, or leak, and it self cleans. I’ve been using it for several months now and I’m in love with it. I highly recommend this iron for quilter’s and people who sew a lot. Singer got it right!

It arrived in a plastic bag and full of water
I believe that this iron was used. It arrived in a plastic bag that had water in it. No box. No instructions. No warranty.

Great product
This iron is great. I sew and very often need that extra "oomph" to put a distinctive crease in something. This ironis heavy enough to have a professional feel, glides across fabric with ease, and takes plain tap water! (I have very hard water so I have always used a spray bottle with water that has "settled" for at least 24 hours before I refill.)I have two very small dislikes. I wish it had one or two more settings especially in the steam range. It has only 4 and the first two are not steam settings. My second "gripe" is that my long, large fingers sometimes accidentally hit the heat settings button which, if left alone turns the iron up too high or turns it off. The audible is sufficient to let me know that I've done it but it is a bit annoying.I expected to get a quality iron for sewing from Singer and I have not been disappointed! YES, I would most definitely buy this iron again.

Best Iron I have ever owned!
I do a tremendous amount of sewing. With that in mind, I have tried to find the best iron to use to press seams as I sew. By far, this is the best sewing iron I have ever owned. Adding water to the iron is extremely easy with virtually no mess. The iron came with a unique plastic measuring spouted pitcher to add water. The door to add water opens to the right which makes the door almost invisible when filling.Temperature control is easy to use and it KEEPS it's temperature. Many previous irons I have used do not keep the temperature which leads to water leakage and spotting on fabric. This unit has yet to spit water at any time. That is a HUGE plus to me as a quilter!Additionally, the water container on the iron allows you to see how much water you are adding to the iron. Previous irons, since the water container was so dark, you played guess work on how full the water was in the ironI will definitely purchase this iron again if need be, but right now I am so happy with this unit and its durability, I don't think I will need to make another iron purchase for quite some time.A + rating from this satisfied customer!

Strong iron but quite bulky and heavy
Very strong quality iron but bulky and heavy. It’s a workout ironing with it. At first my wrist would ache. Still does ache if ironing too much at one time. Handle has large twisted button to adjust the settings .. so if held high up like any normal iron the settings will be adjusted. It’s taking time to get use to holding the iron a certain way. When water is poured in its not very clear/visible because of grey colour. Overall it’s a very good iron so far. Irons very well better than all other irons I’ve had!

The Best Iron on The Market
It is a very good design and easy to operate. I think it is the best Iron I ever had. The light weight helps when you have problem with your hands (my last one was extremely heavy). Still it doesn't mean the quality of the Iron is compromise. I iron everything, since 95% of what I own is linen/cotton. I do not use the heat to dry my cloths so ironing is necessary. This job was never easier as now. Highly recommended. Another item by Singer worth every penny spent.

Beat Rowenta
The best iron so far. Removed wrinkles from the bed sheets with no effort and can reposition line on pants pretty easily. I had Rowenta steamforce and I returned and bought this one. The best choice made. Doesn't look fancy but perform excellent. Not light weight but not heavy also. Singer know what is important to get the job done.
