"Happy Smelling"
This essential oil is great, but I believe it has a light blend, a light but deep woodsy note fragrance. Vetiver is thick naturally so it usually is blended so that it can come out of the hole of the bottle easily. This oil is great for diffusion in aromatherapy humidifiers. It's great for relaxation, and emotional stress. I first add a drop of coconut oil, almond or light olive oil to protect my skin because it's sensitive and the oil when pure can irritate the skin, then I add the essential oil just a few drops in my hands, rub them together and cupping my hands around my nose, take five deep breaths in through my nose and out slowly and instantly I am relaxed and feeling stress-free. Please note for your safety that you should not ingest ANY essential oil because it does not dilute in water. Any aromatherapist with your best interest at heart and not dollar sign's in there eyes would🤑 say the same. These essential oils are Grade A. They work great by using the cupping method or diffusion. Do not be misled by people or companies saying they have so and so benefit when you ingest them. MANY essential oils are toxic or can cause internal injury when swallowed. (Yes even lemon) Many drinks infused with flavors use such a miniscule amount to flavor these beverages so a drop of essential oil could never be properly mixed per part.( also consider one drop of oil from one company's bottle of oil varies with another depending on the size of the hole the oil comes out of.) That is one reason why it isn't safe to ingest them because one drop of one bottle can be a double drop in amount compared to the other. Have fun with essential oils as they have great benefits but keep in mind they are powerful so "Happy Smelling" and please smell wisely.

Highly recommend this oil!
I am in love with this oil. Such a rich, earthy smell that really calms and delights the senses. I use this in my diffuser every night. As well as when I just need a little stress relief. It's great for so many different things. This is definitely one of the higher quality oils I've had. I love Plant Therapy, and I trust them. Which is huge in the game of essential oils. I buy all of my oils from PT for that reason. The only negative to this oil is that it's VERY thick. So thick in fact that it will not come out of the orifice reducer. You will need to purchase a dropper for it. Otherwise, you're going to be stuck with an amazing oil that you can't use. You also need to clean your diffuser out every few days when using this oil, because it can and will gunk up your diffuser from being so thick. Overall, this is one of the best oils there is and I highly recommend it.

Effective for a low note in blends.
I purchased the Vetiver essential oil by Plant Therapy several days ago at the recommendation of an essential oil blogger. I am trying to make my own perfume with the use of essential oils. The problem that I am having, is that the scent quickly disappears (with my previous creations). And thus I did some further research, which discussed the importance of having a high, medium, and low note essential oil scent in order to ensure that it lasts. The low note is actually the scent that typically will make the perfume last for hours, or at least that is my understanding. There appears to be some confusion on social media in regards to which essential oils are actually 'low notes.' So after further reading, I found a well made article that recommended vetiver essential oil as a low note in floral blends. Which is what I prefer. Pros: this essential oil is extremely well made, and a little goes a long way. It did make a significant improvement to my perfume's lasting power. Thus it was very effective. Cons: I am not in love with this scent. It's very strong, a little musky, and I would not consider it in a floral category. Honestly too much of it, made me nauseated. But, I am very sensitive to strong smells. I can see where many people would enjoy this scent though. The bottle is small compared to many of my other essential oil brands. But as we know, more is not necessarily better quality. More often than not the large bottles seem watered down. This is my first purchase from Plant Therapy and I have read that they are a well respected company. It was a little more expensive than I typically spend on an essential oil. Overall, it was what I was looking for.

Smoky, like my childhood
You know how scents remind you of certain things? Vetiver smells of musty, earthy, wet wood, which reminds me of my grandparent's house. I have many good memories of my Grandparent's home. They lived in FL and we'd spend the summers there playing in the sun, making happy childhood memories. The vetiver scent reminds me of one special Saturday. That night we stood in her neighbor's yard, watching the glowing horizon as fire burned her beloved home to the ground. Everything smelled just like this oil - wet, smoky, and slightly muddy. Though there's no softer notes of burnt hair or childhood trauma, it's still an authentic smell. A note of caution: You might go easy on using this oil to treat burn victims, though; it might always be too soon for that.

Very impressed
I've only used this one once so far, but I've been really happy with it and this brand. I have their bergamot and cypress and now the vetiver, and they're all a nice quality at reasonable prices. I really like the deep, woodsy, complex scent of this one. Definitely relaxing. This is a heavy base note. I used it with doTerra's Serenity blend for sleep and couldn't really smell the vetiver at first, but it was the only thing left in the morning. Excited to try it out on a felt pad in the car. Reviewers have been saying that it's thick (and it is), but I had absolutely no trouble getting it out of the bottle after rolling it between my palms a little bit. The dropper cap is deeper and wider than a lot of my other bottles, so maybe they improved the design to accomodate the thickness. Would recommend!
