JVC KW-M56BT is an excellent head unit. It has all the bells and whistles for a reasonable price. I upgraded my 4 speakers last year but they still didn't sound great. The signal to the speakers is much better than the old original (15+ year old) head unit. Now the kicker speakers sound great. I added a powered subwoofer and it made all the difference. I installed in a 2000 Silverado truck (previous 1.5 DIN replaced with a 1 DIN by previous owner). I was able to use parts of the old mounting stuff and used 1/2 inch plywood blocks to get the correct width. Also needed to cut the dash since the JVC is taller than the original hole. This unit is narrower than the original stereo hole so I will be making a custom ABS plate to make it look good (currently covering gap with black electrical tape but don't see the edge of the plywood blocks. The only complaint is the Apple CarPlay would play for 3-4 minutes then freeze. Checked JVC site and found an update. Followed the instructions and now the Apple CarPlay works properly. Overall a good unit for the price and it has all the nice features.

Make sure to pre purchase your wire adapter and double din install kit for your car model before install. Purchasing the these items made install very easy. For your DVD you can run the wire to parking brake or just run it to ground or what I did was just utilized a standard relay. Very happy with the quality and Apple Car play works perfectly. Only negative is if you want your steering wheel controls to work you must purchase additionl parts. Based on the price of the extra kit it was worth it for only steering wheel volume controls.

Nice radio for the price, many features, wish they still came with CD player Has major features like gps & streaming, wish it came with better use instructions and having a rear camera you have to manually press a few buttons to display the live back up video. Sound is good and has equalizer too Best I could find for the price.

I got this deck to get android compatibility that my factory system was not working with. Installation was made easy through an installation kit with cable adaptors. Had to use the bezel from the installation kit to get the factory like fit. My factory installed USB-A plug was able to be reused by getting an USB-A male to USB MINI male adaptor. Function is as expected, I would prefer a faster rate of change in volume. Fade/balance set up is quick and easy with the touch screen . Android auto connects instantly when the phone, Pixel 7 & Samsung S22 is connected to USB. Control can be by touch screen or through voice commands.

3 year review. During the time the unit had Bluetooth connectivity issues at random. A call would come in and the unit froze and disconnected several times. But now the screen is completely unresponsive doesn’t work. It goes crazy raising the volume clicking on everything it can on its own. Tryed reseting it with a small needle. (Dint work) Had to put it down getting a new one

Bought this for a 350z some time ago now as it was recommended to me by a friend who does audio for work. Did the install myself and after a year ive had 0 issues. Radio is super responsive and AMAZING with the settings + EQ. Any problems people have are either user error or the rarest chance of a defective item. in my case i got a great unit + easy install and enjoy it now. Will buy for my 99 Porsche boxster soon

Works well, fast connection to my android phone when plugged in for android auto. Fits 2001 silverado.

Always stick with quality electronics. Great product plays CD and DVD well with outputs for additional sound and screens plus an input and power for rear view camera if you choose to install one. So far it's great with great options and with the mounting kit for the car looks almost factory.

It's nice, not super user friendly or powerful but it'll do.

I'm very inexperienced when it comes to electrical work or working on my truck so the install process took about 8 hours for me personally especially as it wasn't powering on when I first hooked it up. I had to wire it in a way where it is constantly powered and I have to press the power button every time I shut my truck off so it doesn't drain my battery. I see a lot of complaints about the screen not being that great but I've had zero issues with the screen at all. It's definitely touch screen and responds to every touch perfectly. I love how customizable it is for audio. My only down side with it is now that I've installed this when I put the volume up it distorts the audio. Upon researching the problem it seems I'll need to replace my speakers to eliminate the distortion. This was the only problem I didn't see anyone reporting in their reviews, probably either because they replaced their speakers at the same time or just don't listen to their music really loud like I do. In the end I'm very pleased with the product, only slightly disappointed I'll have to replace my speakers but besides that the unit works amazingly.

La funcionalidad de android auto sólo sirve con el cable conectado, no por wifi. La resolución de pantalla es muy básica, no como en las fotos del anuncio. Fuera de eso buen producto
